A look inside the mind of a Cleveland sports fan.
For Cleveland Sports fans, 2016 was a year like no other.
• The Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA championship.
• The Cleveland Indians won the AL championship.
• The Cleveland Browns won a game.
Painful expressions like "Red Right 88", "The Drive", "The Shot", "The Fumble". were suddenly replaced by "The Chasedown", "The Shot (Kyrie version)" and "Wow! The Browns won a game!"
This book takes a humorous look at each of the teams I love. It looks at the highlights: (Cavs 2016 championship, Indians march to the World Series, the Midges), the lowlights (The Drive, The 1997 World Series, every Browns season since 1999)
It celebrates the teams we love through thick and thin.
If you have fond memories of World B. Free, Jim Thome and Greg Pruitt, this book is for you.
If you have nightmares about Michael Jordan and John Elway, this book is for you.
If you can't say "Pittsburgh Steelers" without throwing up a little in your ...

This story is true. Not even the names have been changed. I may end up being kicked out of camp for telling "what happens at camp", but it's a risk I am willing to take. After all, I'm innocent!
Our deer camp, Camp Abahati, started in 1965. Since then we are in our 51st year of hunting the same piece of ground. Not many deer camps can lay claim to that, and two of the three original hunters are still hunting there. The group has grown over these 51 years to include two more Camp Elders - including yours truly - and their offspring, which now numbers 15 children and grandchildren.
There are stories that will excite you. Stories that will make you laugh. Stories that will make you shake your head and think, "did they REALLY do that?"
If you are a deer hunter, I know you will enjoy reading this tale. If you aren't a deer hunter, the stories of family and friends make for some great reading. It's not about the killing; it's about the hunting, the friendship, and the camaraderie.

The north shore of Lake Superior is wild and beautiful. It is also quite sparsely populated, so a hiking trip (or other adventure) will truly give you chance to get away from it all, and back to nature in its full glory.
Lake Superior is big - it is the largest of the North American Great Lakes, and one of the largest freshwater lakes in the world. One could spend years exploring the area, and still have barely touched the possibilities.
This account focuses on a multi-day backpacking trip in Pukaskwa National Park, some light canoeing in White Lake Provincial Park, and some day-hiking in the Thunder Bay area.
What follows is a journal of some of the highlights of a trip to Northern Ontario in the summer of 1998. That gives the trip a bit of a historical flavor, but things don't change very quickly in the wild country of the true north, so it will also give the reader a good idea of what to expect during their own exploration of the north shore

Busuanga, the northernmost island in the province of Palawan, is best known among tourists as a base from which one can visit the nearby island of Coron. Curious about what lay beyond the bustling port, I set off on a 4-day bike ride around the island's coast, educating myself about the country's occupation by Japan, about the former leper colony on neighbouring Culion, and, above all, about the kindness of the people. A percentage of profits from book sales is donated to the Haribon Foundation, who are dedicated to protecting biodiversity throughout the Philippines.
Successful long distance running requires a holistic approach. There are various physiological elements that influence performance, most of which are dependent upon each other. Many new runners make the mistake of confining their training to only a fraction of these components at the expense of the most crucial ones.
Most researchers, fitness experts and coaches agree that long distance runners can improve their performance through primarily focusing on aerobic endurance, aerobic capacity, lactate threshold, speed training and running economy.
Other key components include strength and conditioning, aimed at developing overall muscular fitness, flexibility, upper body strength and leg strength. Taken as a whole, to achieve improved performance long distance running, you've got to focus on developing high levels of endurance and enhanced power output.
This book is a comprehensive training manual, a toolbox packed with the right tools for successful long distance competitive running. ...

This generalised guide culminates experience coming from four generations of off-road drivers, using a large variety of vehicles in the mountainous areas of Greece. It's the result of literally millions of kilometres, starting from the late 1920s and carrying on to modern times. Going from the slow, less capable cars of the past to today's 4X4s.
Any experienced overlander may tell you that this subject is next to impossible to cover in a single book, let alone in a quick, easy & dirty guide. The author's purpose is to provide enough basic rules to cover a sufficient number of bases - so that any novice may be able to begin their first off-road excursions staying as safe as possible, and living to tell the story, without any drama, whether it be financial or due to a severe accident.

Fifty years ago this year, six friends and I were determined to get away from the predictable, miserable summer weather in Great Britain. We wanted to venture further afield for our holidays, travelling to a country where we were guaranteed blue sky, endless sunny days, warm nights, golden sand, Azure crystal waters, bikini clad bronze bodies, and ice-cold beers... To commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime holiday, I have recounted the incredible experiences from a journal written at the time by one of the seven, Steven Wilson, as we drove through the heart of France and Spain in 1969.
All football players could improve. You could be the best player on the team, and you could still get better. Whether you're playing at the amateur, professional level, or semi-professional level, there is always room to get better. One of the great things about sports, in general, is that people will always have new goals to strive for, and they never have to feel like they've finally peaked. There will always be new peaks to climb, and there is something that will always be exciting about that.
If you want to improve your game, the right football training drills could make all the difference in the world. Soccer training drill exercises can help all soccer players get better, even if they have done those drills a million times previously. A lot of football playing is basically repetition and reinforcement.
It's important to remember that football is not something that people should try to learn academically. Obviously, reading about it will help. Watching other people perform ...
