A Classic Western: Lone Wolf: The First Western In A New Series (The Lone Wolf Western Adventure Series Book 1) by Weldon R. Shaw (DS Productions) 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 20 minutes ago

The first book in a tremendously exciting new mountain western from Weldon R. Shaw! This is "Lone Wolf: Book One." Lone Wolf is a book for those who believe in true love and sacrifice for that one particular person they love. To love someone so much you are willing to die for them to ensure their safety. Lone Wolf unfolds in the rough time of the 1860's, in the wilderness of Montana, which had not been tamed as of yet. It was a time when people's lives were lived in the harshest elements and death was a reality. The story unfolds telling how Britt McCormick, who was sixteen at the time, was found stranded, lonely and helpless by the Cheyenne Indians, who took him in after his family had died. Chief Running Fox found Britt to be a fascinating child and gave him the name of Lone Wolf. Running Fox saw a spirit in Lone Wolfs eyes, unlike any spirit he had ever seen before. He knew this child possessed strong medicine inside him and was destined for great things. Because of this, he brought Lone Wolf home to his daughter Fawn to take care of and teach. Fawn, which was only eighteen at the time, and recently widowed herself, was very displeased with her father for dropping this white man off on her. She had always been taught to hate the white man, and now her father is asking her to take care of one. But as time went on, she grew very close to Lone Wolf, and he filled a void in her heart which had been empty for some time. Lone Wolf is a book about love. It tells the story of how love can break down all fear, especially when the one you love is in trouble. It shows the sacrifices one may have to make to keep those close to your heart safe. It also points out love is not something that is easily received, but rather something you must earn from another person. Lone Wolf proves people from different parts of the world and even customs can come together and be euphoric with each other. The remarkable part of this novel is, it makes you realize you should never take ...

Welcome to another Lone Pine Western by award-winning author, Mark Stephen Taylor. Moon of the White Wolf, an untold tale of the High Sierra, 1874, is a journey amidst the heartbeat of the High Sierra; Lone Pine California and Mount Whitney -- the highest mountain in the contiguous U.S.A. This is a continuation of the legend of the great, white wolf, first introduced in the author's work, Still Waters: Legend of the White Wolf. In this enduring sequel, the town of Lone Pine and surrounding ranches, as well as the village of the Shoshone, are threatened by an attack from the Paiute tribe to the south. This of course disrupts the ordinary lives of the story's characters, but when the great white wolf returns to the area under a harvest moon, there is indeed great hope. However, not all believe in the legendary white wolf. The Bandaged Riders by Gordon Landsborough (Endeavour Frontier) 4.0 Stars (10 Reviews)    Price verified 6 hours ago

Memory is a dangerous thing... In the shambles of the stricken, defeated South, lawless men saw an opportunity to seize power they did not deserve. These men had fought on no side in the Civil War, but had instead battened on the defenceless old people left at home. One such unscrupulous man, Reuben Slatt, along with his ragged scallawag followers, had a better idea. Why not adopt the flag of the victors and take over and run a town... for their own benefit? Why not bleed the town dry and shoot as traitors any Southerner who dared lift a hand against them? A great idea in theory. But trouble lay ahead... One man was not willingly to simply stand by and see defenceless people exploited and murdered. A man of resource and high courage. A man who was unafraid to use a gun for a just cause, with the charisma and motivation to encourage others to do the same. And yet this man knew nothing about himself. He could not even remember which side he had fought on in the Civil War, for he had lost his memory. Will this mysterious figure bring justice to the west? Praise for Gordon Landsborough 'A punchy tale coupled with plenty of action - an engaging read!' - Philip McCormac, bestselling western author Gordon Landsborough (1913-1984) was a publisher, author and bookseller. Writing tales about the exploits of gun-toting cowboys fighting out on the arid sands of the Wild West, Landsborough was himself a pioneering in the English paperback publishing world of the 1950s. He was widely known amongst his peers as the 'maverick publishing genius'. His other western adventures include Fortress Jack Rides, Union Soldier, The Dog Men, The Fence Buster, The Stolen Bounty and Boss of the Diamond-O.

After tragedy blew Sunny Harlowe's world apart, she left her old life behind, strapped on a six-shooter and became the most notorious bounty hunter in California -- a gun-toting, flashing-eyed beauty who could out-shoot and out-ride any man... even a seductive silken-tongued rogue like Price Ramsey. Never mind that he's the handsomest devil this side of the Rockies -- Sunny has been hired to bring him in... dead or alive! Rugged, rough-and-ready Price Ramsey has always had his way with the fairer sex... until he crossed paths with Sunny Harlowe. As her prisoner on a wild and rollicking run across the west, Price lives for only two things: his freedom, and Sunny hot and eager in his bed. What he gets is a woman of stormy, sizzling desires -- and a love that is bigger than both of them.
