Prophecies of Nostradamus by Nostradamus (GIANLUCA) 3.7 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified 4 hours ago

Nostradamus is considered by many as one of the most famous and important writers of history prophecies. He is famous mainly for his book The Prophecies, consisting of quartine in rhyme. Supporters of the trustworthiness of these prophecies attribute to Nostradamus the ability to predict an incredible number of events in world history, including the French Revolution, the Atomic bomb, the rise to power of Adolf Hitler and the attacks of 11 September 2001. However, no one has ever proved that Nostradamus's quarters can provide reliable data for the foreseeable future.

Inviting Kosher Recipes: A Complete Cookbook of Jewish-Style Dish Ideas! by Thomas Kelly 3.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 8 hours ago

What is kosher cooking? How do you cook dishes so that they are acceptable for kosher meals? Kosher cooking is practiced all over the world. Jewish communities exist on each continent, and they all have their own regional dishes that are kosher and unique, as well. The thread tying these dishes together is their adherence to the dietary laws of Judaism. The rules for keeping kosher are called "kashrut" rules, and they are based on the Torah. This recipe book will bring you 30 kosher recipes that will give you valuable experience in preparing kosher meals. Kashrut prohibits Jews from consuming pork. But there are numerous other Jewish laws used to keep meals kosher. These range from what types of meat can be used (no shellfish or pork) to the ways in which animals are slaughtered, as kosher methods are widely considered to be more humane. Jewish people observe the kosher rules in different degrees. Orthodox Jews follow kashrut laws quite strictly. Reform and Conservative Jews usually observe the laws less strictly. Many modern Jews are virtually free to choose whatever works best for them. There are times like Passover, when laws are usually observed much more closely, and more Jews eat kosher meals during this time. Outside of High Holidays or Sabbath, some Jews are fine eating other types of foods. I hope this recipe book inspires you to learn more about kosher cuisine. Let's cook!

Man of No Ego by Dimitar Petrov 4.8 Stars (7 Reviews)    Price verified 10 hours ago

This book presents the path of living beyond the Ego. My deepest intention is to convey the message, that, we as divine beings, are capable of all there is. We are a miracle. Life is a miracle. My humble suggestion for you is to experience it with an open heart. With a Loving heart. Only then, will the doors truly open. The deepest of desires, will manifest. Embracing Love and letting go is the truth. And Ego is a tool. We are created in such a way. We need not destroy it. The key here is to accept it, but understand deeply, that you are not that. You are the universe experiencing itself. And we are not just the idea of ourselves. Life teaches us, that this idea is bound to change, that it is not our true source of Self and not permanent within us. What is permanent within ourselves is the divine. Love. I would be happy if this book enriched your life. Please leave a review, it will help the book a lot. Topics: 1. LOVE AND INTUITION 2. BALANCE AND DUALITY 3. BODY-MIND CONNECTION 4. The Rapture, the Tribulation, and the Second Coming of Christ by James Thomas Lee Jr Price verified 11 hours ago

This book will attempt to discuss and to defend perhaps the most difficult and the most challenging parts of the Scriptures by looking at the rapture of the church, at the Great Tribulation, and at the second coming of Christ. Those are items of interest to almost every person alive. But there are also probably just as many viewpoints about those events as there are people alive. Thus, this book will begin at the beginning by suggesting that the literal approach for interpreting those future events is probably superior to trying to interpret them figuratively. The position of this text is that they will literally happen at some point in the future. Therefore, everything about them in this text will be presented based upon that standpoint. So after the first chapter which will present the rationale for interpreting the end-time events literally, chapter two will express five arguments and provide multiple scriptural passages that seem to support a literal rapture of the church. In fact, it will even be shown during the discussion of Revelation 19:11-16 and I Thessalonians 4:13-18 that a literal rapture is consistent with Jewish culture and with the seven-day marriage feast for newlyweds. In that chapter, it will also be shown from the seventy-week prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27 why the expected duration of the Great Tribulation will probably be seven years. Then in chapter three, some of the details of the rapture will be discussed. For one thing, that is probably when the saints of God will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and receive their rewards. In chapter four while the events of chapter three will be happening, it will be presented that the Great Tribulation will also probably be beginning in the earth. Then during the next five chapters of this text, the major events of the Great Tribulation will be discussed by looking at the seven seal judgments, the seven trumpet judgments, the events that will be concurrent with the trumpet judgments, the seven ...

The Book of Revelation : The Revelation of John unveiled by John Smith Price verified 12 hours ago

Revelation is a book that is unique to all other books in the Bible. It is a letter, but in addition, it is also a word of prophecy. It was written to the churches in Asia Minor sometime between 64 AD and 96 AD, probably closer to the end of that scale than the beginning. There was pressure from the government of Rome to make Christians recant their faith in Jesus, and even stronger persecution was soon to follow. The fact that there was complacency in many of the churches to which it was written tells us that there was not intense martyrdom going on yet. The churches were being warned and encouraged. John the apostle was told to write this revelation in these areas: (1) the things which John had seen, which included the vision he had seen of the risen Christ in chapter one; (2) the things which are, which are the seven letters to the seven churches in chapters two and three; and (3) the things which shall take place, referring to the events in chapters four through twenty-two. Note that in this book we often see the phrases, "like," "as," and "as it were." This tells us that what we are reading is a comparison, not an identification. This book is all about Jesus Christ. It is a book from Jesus Himself, the only book to have this distinction. Because it is from Jesus Himself, we are blessed when we read this book. We see several things concerning Jesus in Revelation.. 1.We see His risen glory in Revelation chapter 1. 2.We see Him directing and teaching His church in Revelation chapters 2 and 3. 3.We see Him as the slain and risen lamb to whom all worship is directed in Revelation chapters 4 and 5. 4.We see the coming judgments in a period of tribulation upon the earth that are a display of the wrath of the Lamb of God in Revelation chapters 6 through 19. 5.We see the return of Jesus Christ to earth as a conquering King in Revelation 19:11-21. 6.We end with a picture of the millennial reign of Christ in Revelation chapter 20. 7.We see a new heaven and a new earth in ...

Consciousness Rising, The Path to Transcendent Awareness by M.G. Hawking Price verified 14 hours ago

The purpose of this book is to present the key concepts and knowledge necessary to raise an individual's consciousness to a 'transcendent' level of expanded awareness. ('Transcendent' adj. 1.0 Beyond or above the range of normal or physical human experience; 1.2 Existing apart from and not subject to the limitations of the material universe. Oxford English Dictionary, 2nd Ed., 1989.) In essence, this book is an exploration of knowledge in the original sense of a search for extraordinary personal power and the most profound wisdom and guidance in human affairs, all of which may be found, as the reader will learn, in understanding the natural workings of consciousness in the universe in which we find ourselves, and of which we are a part. Consciousness is the mystery of mysteries. Consciousness is not simply what's most directly known to us, it is the only thing directly known to us. Remarkable advancements in scientific research have provided new windows into questions of consciousness and its powers. Since the development of quantum mechanics in the first part of the 20th century, progress has been made to understand consciousness and its extraordinary abilities on the basis of the concepts of quantum physics. The quantum world builds the classical world. Everything in our classical, macroscopic world is composed of microscopic units of energy -- the quanta -- acting in unison. Consciousness and its various mental abilities are part of that quantum physical universe. Since consciousness arises at the quantum level, the features of quantum physics are involved in, and represent explanations for, all the countless extraordinary phenomena that have been observed and described since the very threshold of history and which modern researchers consistently observe in experimental settings, including extrasensory perception and precognition. We recently revisited our well-received original volume, Mystic Wisdom of the Masters, with a view to issuing a new edition ...

What if Lucifer Said "No?" (Free Will Stories) by I. M. Probulos 4.0 Stars (17 Reviews)    Price verified 4 hours ago

This is the second installment of our free will series and examines what might have happened if Lucifer exerted his free will and simply said, "no." It is my 21st Amazon Kindle book! If you like this book please review it. If you have comments or suggestions you can send me an email at improbulos@gmail.com. My tale ask the questions: What would God have done if Lucifer did not rebel? Would the fall of man have occurred without the aid of Satan? Would God have had to find someone else to run hell? Is hell necessary for heaven? Why did God permit Satan to rebel? Why does Joel Osteen have such great hair? [answer: he is in league with the Devil!]. There are so many questions--and, of course, I. M. Probulos has answers. Well, maybe not the answers you hear in Sunday School, but I do have answers, nevertheless. This is an irreverent and humorous telling of an ancient fable. If you are a fundamentalist or Evangelical Christian, you will most likely be extremely offended. Good. You should be. I'm offended by your "hell is real" signs along the highway. The only thing that is real is the ability of religion to indoctrinate and scare small children. Use your free will and don't read it. It is not recommended for small children, anyone living in Alabama, and ferrets--due to the extreme language. If you're a free-thinker, atheist, agnostic, or secular humanist, or never listen to Fox News, take a ride on the imagination of I. M. Probulos and proceed. Please Look Inside or download the sample before you purchase so you know what you're getting into. It's a lot like Adam and Eve Revisited plus all my musings on free will, Damnation by Probability, and faith in general. This is a work of satire and parody, and all persons, living and dead are being satirized, so if you are offended easily, just get over yourself. I. M. Probulos

Kip - The Pessimist: Kip Series Vol 3 by Ben Rhodes Price verified 10 hours ago

Edited and revised June 2015 This book contains two chapters from another book. This is about 9% of the book length. Normally I don't have any religion in my stories. I don't feel qualified being as I have no degree in theology. This story is different. Kip has his own ideas on how this world should world should be run and he does have some serious discussions on the matter. Now, he's making deals. He normally does not do such things, but he's desperate. It seems to him to be the only way to rid himself of a pest. Of course, by now he's become a pessimist. Among other things, he believes those killers in Mexico will never come north of the border. They are using that invisible line to hide, and now the Mexican officials are having problems with them. Over time, however, he realized that things are not always as they seem and his conclusions aren't always right. With all this, we all know he remains constant in two things. He still likes to put killers in prison, and he hates breaking bad news to the parents of young kids. Even this causes him confusion when the killers just might be kids. At least he gets a few answers. He doesn't like some of them and they anger him. On the other hand some answers continue to elude him, but he learns he just has to live with them. One nice thing. He's working on a nice car that is in particularly good shape. He knows he's going to make a bundle off of it, that is, if he lives long enough to finish it.

Kip - The Optimist: Kip Series, Vol 1 by Ben Rhodes 3.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 10 hours ago

There's been a murder. It was the type they liked to assign to Kip. Not only was he a good detective, but he was a self proclaimed optimist too. Those that worked with Kip liked to tease him about it. On the other hand he was also a realist. As he says, positive thinking won't put food on the table, but optimism and a little work will. After all, only an optimist will plant in the spring and expect food come harvest time. Still someone has to plow and plant. He does have his problem with women though. He simply has no long term relationships. Two, maybe three dates and the woman finds a reason to leave him. It's not something he likes, but he has learned to face it. He is enough of a realist to know that after the third date, if it goes that far, the woman is going to find a reason to leave. He's been a detective for about three and half years and his third partner has only been with him a few months. He finds this investigation first confusing then frustrating the longer it goes. People are turning up dead all over and he doesn't seem to be able to get a handle on it. Maybe you'd like to be with him and share in his frustration. Then again, maybe not. It is almost too much for Kip. It just might be too much for you. At the end of this book are the first two chapters of "Kip - The Realist." I say this to keep from deceiving you as to the size of this story. Approximately 17% is sample

Kip - The Realist: Kip Series Vol 2 by Ben Rhodes 4.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 10 hours ago

Edited and revised June 2015 Contains a preview of "Kip - The Pessimist.", just so you have an honest idea of the story length. Kip is at it again. He's busy solving new crimes as well as some of the old ones. All the while he's trying to make sense of the world around him. He wants so badly to resume his relationship with Janet, but she seems firm in her decision to never see him again. He figures if he could ever talk to her, he just might be able to change her mind. With 3000 miles between them, he realizes this is not likely. After all, Kip has become a realist in every respect. Not only because of the world of romance but also because of the crimes he sees and the people who commit them. To Kip it is a horrible world. Then again, he sees the worst of the world on a daily basis. He wants to put the horrible people in prison so badly. Yet it tears at his fabric to see what these people can and will do, sometimes without any reason other than convenience. In this story, we see him trying to find the killers of young boys, who are in turn, would be killers, if they had been allowed to live a little longer. He finds it horrible to see kids killed. Yet he knows well the destruction these two would have caused. We also see his romantic and personal life go in many directions, almost all at once. By the end of the story, it is easy for us to understand why he's becoming more of a pessimist with every turn of events. As we join Kip, he already has two major frustrations in his personal life. He is about to have one added to his professional one.

The Slave's Diary by Kenneth R. McClelland 4.6 Stars (15 Reviews)    Price verified 14 hours ago

While on his first hunt with his father, Kimbo is kidnapped from the jungles of Africa to become a slave in 19th century America. Sold like property to various masters, he escapes after a master enters him in a boxing match against another slave, a killer called Barnyard Willie. In the midst of his escape he comes across a little white girl who's lost in the woods, at which time kidnappers grab him and the girl. They're held by the kidnappers until 'nobody' sets them free. Captured again after getting the girl to safety, a Paddy Roller claims him from the local jail and delivers him to a master who attempts to kill him after he attempts to run off with a kitchen girl to the Underground Railroad. Kimbo is saved from a deadly beating and redeemed from bondage by an old preacher who stands up to the master, and shows him what true freedom really is. Here is an excerpt from the book: "Dust filled the air, and there was shouting from many directions as we struggled. I didn't understand their voices, but I cried out to them to tell them that they'd made a mistake, thinking they were hunting for animals. I shouted that we were men just like them, but it did no good, and they kept wrestling with me as I struggled to break free of their nets. When I was tired and could no longer move, I saw them smiling down at me with contempt in their eyes. It was clear from their faces that it was no mistake at all that they caught us, but I did not understand why. I screamed again for them to let us go, asking over and over for them to let us go free. "Leave us alone! You have no right to do this to us! Let us go now!" They ignored my shouts and continued smiling at me, almost laughing at me, and this made my blood boil. "Why do you hate me when you don't even know me? We've done nothing to you! Why are you doing this? Why are you doing this to us?" I would not learn the answer to my questions until sometime later when slavery was explained to me at the end of a whip. I turned ...

A General Topic Devotion Book Based On A 366-day Calendar by James Thomas Lee Jr 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 14 hours ago

Over the past twenty years, I have served as an Adult Sunday School Teacher at two different Baptist churches during two different periods of time. In addition to that, I also attended Liberty University from 1995 until 2001 where I completed work on my Master of Arts degree in Religion and Pastoral Counseling. During my time at Liberty University, I studied ten Religion courses and five Pastoral Counseling courses as part of my Graduate Studies Program. After Graduation, I studied an additional six Religion courses and one additional Counseling class. Because of my educational training and my teaching experience, the devotions in this book have been written to be both inspirational and instructional. Each devotion has been based on either a specific lecture that I attended at Liberty University or on a specific Sunday School class that I taught. If a person will patiently and diligently read each devotion, one day at a time, then he or she will probably learn many important spiritual principles from the Bible that pertain to right, practical living. He or she will probably also learn many truths about the Bible that one would only rarely hear from a church pulpit. Either way, the hope is that this general topic devotion book will be a blessing to everyone that uses it. Among some of the topics included are why the Apocrypha is not part of the Protestant Bible, being born again, being conformed to the image of Christ, being quick to forgive others, some arguments for God's existence, the Bible is still relevant, being Missions-minded, Creation, dealing with temptation, the deity of Christ, some of the Bible names for God, finding strength and blessings in the Lord, God has absolute moral standards, God wants to save everyone, how to properly interpret Scriptures, the impeccability of Christ, ministering to others for Christ, prayer is a powerful tool, seeing evil as God sees it and many, many more.
