The dead can still talk - as Lawrence Juste is about to find out - and what they have to say is deadly.
A tense psychological thriller for fans of Gone Girl and The Girl with No Past.
He thought he'd eluded the nemesis from his past - even made some kind of atonement for abandoning his family by defending his sister's child against a murder charge. His black had become a mere dirty grey, with the possibility of being bleached enough to still make High Court Judge if he'd played his cards right, hadn't it?
Someone obviously doesn't agree.
Someone who persists in taunting him with notes and lies that lead nowhere but to more lies.
Someone who clearly wants him to dig even further into his buried past in order to clear his name.
Someone who might have already murdered once, and is ready to murder again. But they're already dead.
For Lawrence, the twisted saga of deceit, intrigue and conspiracy continues as his family expands and the real truth behind his past begins ...
This is a humorous story about the zombie invasion of Las Vegas.
Many things are lost in Las Vegas: innocence, paychecks, Little Scotty's college fund. But the worst of all... is humanity. Once a man's been bitten by lady luck, the hunger becomes infectious, and before he knows it he'll chew the arm off the guy sitting next to him just to win a hand of poker. Especially if he's a zombie.
Las Vegas has been overrun by flesh-eating, undead monsters that are now flooding the Strip and obliterating everything in their wake -- cars, tourists, and even casinos. First on their path of destruction: the Olympus, Las Vegas's premiere hotel and casino, which is currently housing a human buffet-line that's been trapped inside by a poorly thought-out, self-locking alarm.
Amid the chaos of hungry zombies are a handful of survivors not yet food for the slow (but persistent) tourists-turned-undead: a guitar-wielding Elvis impersonator and his nostril-mining son, a feminist stripper, and an ...

They are engaged in a race against time to find the murderers of three wealthy men, gruesomely dispatched in three of the poshest apartments in London. Amongst the array of suspects are a collection of gorgeous women, and men, from across Europe. Does the key to unlocking this case turn on the nationality of the victims, and suspects? And what's the relevance of the colour of the victims' socks? And what is the role in this affair of Janice Butler, ex-Hollywood movie star, and the love of Inspector Cullot's life? Is stunningly beautiful Stephanie, Cullot's daughter, romantically involved with one of the prime suspects? Greater urgency is given to ...

"Do you love me?"
Shock burned through my veins and the world stopped turning as I looked up at her. How could she ask such a question of me?
"D, Tell me our story... " She whispered.
"You know it already." I responded. Surprised at her request, I threw a log into the centre of the fire, causing it to splutter and spark.
"I know my story, it's true, but ours is different." Her voice was firm and the silent request filled the icy air between us.
"Kalebra," I sighed, "Is this how you want to spend this night, this of all nights?"
Laughing, she turned to me.
"If my world is to end tomorrow, then yes, this is exactly how I want to spend this night of all nights. Tell me our story D, tell it as it will be told by those that come after us."
Long ago and far away, in a land where the Outsiders' cruel rule had brought despair and misery to many, D and Kalebra find friendship, safety, warmth and love. But as with so many things, there is a price to pay.

The road to kingship had a most inauspicious beginning, and we follow Fleance into exile and death, passing the Witches' prophecy to his son Walter. In an effort to untangle Banquo's murder and honor his lineage, Walter moved through events that shaped the course of England and Scotland. His relationships with the great men of his time drove his destiny: Harold Godwineson, Alain of Brittany and finally Malcolm III. After a long and treacherous journey through Wales, England, and France, Walter fulfilled the witches' prophecy as the first Steward of Scotland and ancestor of James I -- for whom Shakespeare wrote Macbeth.
