Quigley Tree: A Novel by Linda A Lavid 4.7 Stars (34 Reviews)    Price verified 56 minutes ago

Quigley Tree drops out of college. At age 23, she's been a complete failure. If she doesn't do something soon, her life will careen into a deep, dark, irrevocable void. Tick Tock. That soon is now. From the publisher: Five-Star Review from Readers' Favorite by Lorraine Cobcroft: Quigley Tree, the protagonist of Linda A. Lavid's novel of the same name, is a young woman with an odd name. A college dropout from a dysfunctional home, and recently escaped from a relationship with a narcissist, Quigley needs to find a new place to live, quickly. A unique idea sets her on a path to find accommodation in a motel in exchange for providing marketing help, but she eventually must admit she has no idea what she is doing. She is a complete mess and has no faith in her ability to do anything useful with her life. Yet a kindly couple takes her on, and, with their help, and the help of an elderly lady she befriends, she begins to reshape her life and overcome her self-destructive attitude. Quirky is the best adjective to describe this work by Linda A. Lavid. Quigley Tree is as quirky as the protagonist's name. Q (as Quigley calls herself) grew on me and won me over. I empathized with her deep feelings of insecurity and her struggle to come to terms with a fractured family and a chaotic childhood. As the story progressed, there were poignant moments, and Lavid presented some interesting perspectives on life. There were also touches of whimsy in this tale of resilience and determination. In classic literary fiction style, Lavid focuses her novel on the character and theme rather than the plot. Quigley Tree, the story, ambles along at a leisurely pace, tracking Q's growth and gradual acceptance of herself and adjustment of her attitude toward her defective mother. Pearls of wisdom are scattered in conversations with her elderly friend, her employers, and the man who eventually wins her affection. The ending tempted me to shed a few tears, touched by Quigley's care for her toddler ...

The Long Hot Summer by Steven Wilkens 4.5 Stars (14 Reviews)    Price verified one hour ago

An unforgettable tale of the civil rights struggle of the mid-sixties. A story of love and tragedy. A story of faith and endurance. Odetta had no intentions of making a stand for what was right. She lived simply, quietly, working as a civil servant for a white. She shopped at black owned stores and worshipped in an all-black Baptist Church. Although she would occasionally dream of traveling the world, she knew that would never happen without making waves, and she wasn't one to make waves. That was of course until the summer of 1965. In a span of just a few weeks she would experience the love of her life and great tragedy. She would be thrust to the forefront of a struggle that had been simmering since the end of the Civil War a century before.

A kidnapped twin sister. A cross-realm rescue mission. Weak and oddly-specific magic. Will an untested princess defy her doomed destiny? Princess Eloise's life has become dominated by the demands of the Court. But when her wayward twin sister disappears, Eloise steps way out of her comfort zone to get her back. What she thought would be a quick rescue turns into a whirlwind of realm-crossing chaos fraught with imprisonment, embarrassment, and peril. Installing Karma: A Wuxia VRMMO LitRPG (Pay-to-Lose Book 1) by William Dickey 4.4 Stars (50 Reviews)    Price verified one hour ago

An action-comedy VRMMO LitRPG with a setting inspired by Wuxia and Xianxia stories and a hero that might have a few screws loose. The early reviews of Karma were insane. Some people emptied their bank accounts to purchase the required VR equipment. Others took the week Karma was set to release off from work. Tim Roberts took things a step further. He hadn't been able to secure one of the coveted slots in the beta, so instead, he started to train IRL. He hunted rats in the sewers, secretly escorted beautiful ladies down the street, chased down purse snatchers and pickpockets, and when the police refused to reward him, he thrust out a hand and shouted, "Fireball." Nothing would stop Tim from seeing his dream of becoming a pro gamer come true. When he first enters the game, Tim is horrified. With experience boosts, loot increases, stat-boosting talismans, overpowered AOE damage scrolls, time-saving fast travel, and instant resurrection, the monetization schemes seem endless. To the wealthy who can afford all these conveniences, the world of Karma is theirs to lord over. To everyone else, it's a struggle to achieve anything. Tim won't be having any of that. Forget pay-to-win. He's going to make all those scumbags pay-to-lose. He's going to give them a taste of karma. What to expect: • The comedy varies from clever to crude and is sometimes outright vulgar so avoid reading if you are oversensitive. • There is a lot of profanity. • There is some of what I'd call borderline sexual content (mostly one scene). Not explicit but not something you'd want a twelve-year-old reading either.

I am just about to turn around and head down the alley toward the street when I see two shadows step away from the wall a little farther down from where I am standing. I can't see any features, but I can guess from their statures that they are both men. I don't know what species they are though, but given that they just witnessed me kill a vampire I decide it's time to get the hell out of here. At least they aren't blocking my path to the street. Just as that thought crosses my mind, I hear the back door to the club open and close. I don't want to take my eyes off the men in front of me, but I have to see who just walked out. To assess the new danger. Before turning to look though, I pull out my remaining weapon also hidden in my boot. A silver dagger. It's only really good for killing werewolves, but it can do some damage to other supernaturals too. I give the figures in front of me one last look, they haven't moved at all, and then glance behind me. My breath stops for a moment, and it feels like my heart stops along with it. *** Willow is a witch who hunts down and kills other supernaturals. After the Great Massacre of the Wiccan Community, their population had been decimated. So while they try to rebuild their population and plan their revenge, they take out as many supernaturals as they can. But everything changes for Willow when she meets Keaton, Everett, Aizen, and Devlin. This is a fantasy reverse-harem romance novel. It will have mature themes, including but not limited to, violence, sexual themes, sexual scenes (including light BDSM), abuse, and mentions of rape. The Discourse of Conflict: Nonverbal semiotics and discursive practice in Northern Ireland's Troubles 1977-82 by Warren Hately 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 2 hours ago

The Discourse of Conflict focuses on the "prison war" between Republican inmates and their British captors, and the subsequent "dirty" protest and hunger strikes, to deal with two problems central to contemporary philosophy: the unacknowledged bias of structuralist theory towards linguistic signs and the lack of a coherent theorisation of social conflict. To address these conundrums, Hately reconciles Saussurean and Peircean semiotics and then uses Ruthrof's corporeal pragmatics to break from the verbocentric idea of language as a closed system, showing instead that verbal meanings originate from the body, its senses and its imagination, as informed by the deixis of individual communities. With the transformation of linguistic semiotics into corporeality, Foucault's notion of discourse and the neglected category of discursive practice are then reworked to show how statements based on nonverbal signs might function discursively. The culmination of the 1970s Northern Irish prison war in the events of the 1981 hunger strikes offers a study that unites the focus upon nonverbal discourses with the examination of conflict. In exploring the ways in which Republican hunger strikers struggled for legitimacy with the prison authorities, Hately shows how previous notions of conflict, especially Lyotard's différend, are thrown into disrepute by a corporeal perspective recognising the intersemiotic and heterosemiotic character of communication. The availability of diverse semiotic media such as the visual, the haptic, the proximic, etc., offers positions in which conflicts may be regulated without ending in the stalemate Lyotard describes. The division of semio-discursive phenomena into verbal and nonverbal elements, and the tracing of the effects these elements have upon ideational and pragmatic planes of action, also reveal a variety of strategies related to conflict that are superposable upon other instances. As a result, The Discourse of Conflict suggests that the ...

Star Collapsed (Blue Star Series Book 4) by Laura Winter 3.9 Stars (14 Reviews)    Price verified 26 minutes ago

Is it possible to hate someone at first sight? I've been around the power community my entire life. I have a special bond with the famous Blue Star; the combination of Finnley's telekinetic explosions and Nate's shadow manipulation. You see, I'm their daughter. Let me rephrase that. I'm their powerless daughter. On the night of my Trials, I passed every test except the most important one - getting powers from a power source - and now I'm stuck with the constant reminder that I failed to be something great. While my family and friends go out and save others who can't control their powers, I'm left on the sidelines. Which is why I'm furious when Ryder shows up, claiming he doesn't want those incredible powers he possesses. It sparks some deep fire inside me to think that he's throwing away a gift I so desperately want. No, it really sparked something, and now that anger is getting worse. He might not have a choice about getting involved, because his presence has triggered something in me that I'm not sure is going to end in anything but destruction. Because what good can come from a stellar collision? If you loved the Soul trilogy following Finnley, Nate, and Glitch, you'll love the extension of the Blue Star story in the Star trilogy. Not required to read the Soul trilogy to follow this series.

"A writer isn't someone who knows a bunch of incredible stories. A writer is someone who can turn an ordinary story into something incredible." Sincere (Miller Family Book 3) by Rae Anderson 4.3 Stars (27 Reviews)    Price verified one hour ago

"My time with him often felt like I'd left my body and traveled to the sanctuary of another planet. I was always left void of gravity, speechless, and blessed to have that level of access. When he orbited away, leaving behind residual stardust, I was left confused. Utterly demented, I was trapped inside a delusion that there ever was an us." -- From the poetry accompaniment, Luna "She'd undeniably gotten closer than any woman ever could. So close she triggered a pulse in my heart. So deep, she made it skip beats. So raw, she made me question myself. So pure, I had to sabotage her efforts. I was just trying to put the head in, not invite her into my head. For ten years, I sought to erase her from the sea horse-shaped organ in my head that stored memories. It hadn't worked. She'd wiggled her effect deeper, the same way the moon's energy forces us to face the innate and hidden parts of ourselves. I tossed my hands up in surrender and threw my hat back into love's arena. A man can love many times in his life but only plunges the hilt of its depths a single time. Only one woman inspires such range. I wanted Luna back." Luna and Sincere have a decade-long history of love, misunderstandings, heartache, and pain. This complex story of trauma, grief, inner work, and healing is the third installment of the Miller family series. This is a dark romance with a heavy focus on childhood abuse, grief, and trauma. NUTTO: The Road to Insanity Paved by A Anastasia 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 2 hours ago

A serial killer suddenly returns. After decades of quiet along the isolated Yellowstone Highway in British Columbia, Canada, women are again being abducted. For those who lost loved ones during the original rampage, the trauma and memory of those gone surges to the surface again, welling up out of the buried depths of despair. It cannot be the same psychopath, can it?! The thought sends shivers through the community. The redux is different, and yet the same, women vanishing without a trace, a "now you see them, now you don't" sadistic trick. The killer is particular, just as before, but the selections this time are in counterpoint to the past, and yet the heartache is identical for the families of those taken. Evil is not to be trifled with, the deranged madman sadistically killing and mutilating any men that get in his way, the women disappearing into thin air, a calling card being left to taunt the authorities. Surely, the women have been taken for a reason. They are alive and being held, the authorities believe. What does he want; what game is this monster playing? Everyone knows every game has a conclusion; this one will not end well for the women. The maniac must be stopped. Follow the Canadian and American joint task force, the best and the brightest of each, in their attempt to find the taken before it is too late. Track the killer's mad revenge as he seeks the one that got away, as she also wishes to exact justice for the women and for herself. She must pay; he must pay, in a battle most personal between the two.

" -- KIRKUS REVIEWS Gilded life of top London banker Claudia Moreau is rocked to its foundations when two strangers unexpectedly cross her path: a scruffy middle-aged au pair in her local park, and a teenage boy of ravishing beauty. When Claudia discovers the au pair's real identity, she makes an impulsive decision that costs her career and wealth. As her world falls apart, Claudia sets in motion a chain of events that lead to the destruction of the woman, the boy - and her own. On 23 November 2011, Claudia Moreau walks onto the stage of the Dorchester Ballroom to accept the prestigious Woman of the Year award. After two decades as a corporate high-flyer, Claudia has money and clout. But her life had long become a blur. One fine autumn morning, four years later, on a park bench in Notting Hill, Claudia meets a dishevelled woman in a gaudy pink coat. The woman introduces herself as Maya Tango, but it's an alias. What is her real name? And why is she hiding it? Soon after, at her gym, a boy with mahogany hair and Street Carver skateboard under his arm approaches her. She is beautiful, can they meet again? THIS PULSE-POUNDING STANDALONE THRILLER will keep you guessing until the very last page. Perfect for readers who relish the chilling suspense of Stephen King, the eerie narratives of Dean Koontz, and the page-turning thrills synonymous with James Patterson. New York City is a violent place. When an out-of-town woman is kidnapped and brutally murdered in what seems like an isolated attack, the story quickly disappears off the front pages of local newspapers. A few days later, nobody remembers the poor victim. Except for John Levy. John is an aspiring author, and for the past few years, he's been trying to finish his debut novel about a serial killer, Luca, whose quest is to become Lucifer himself. Luca believes that twelve demons possess the bodies of ordinary people and, by collecting them all, he can ascend to the throne of the fallen angel. To John's horror, he finds a connection between the story of the fictional Luca and the actual murders in the City That Never Sleeps. And if the woman whose picture John saw on the news is the same as in his manuscript, the actual killer is just getting started. Too terrified and confused to go to the police, John hires a private investigator, Alexandra (Alex) Watts. Together, they race to stop the killer before he strikes again and before John or the entire world around him descends into the abyss. Dive into MADNESS today!

THE 1ST VOYAGE OF SINBAD: The Waters of Zemzem by John Royan 4.6 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

The Waters of Zemzem shall hold Al-Dajjal until the crownless king born of two hearts comes forth from the darkness out of the west. This mysterious prophecy is at the heart of an origin story of Sinbad the Sailor, a tale of a poor young servant who stayed true to his handicapped brother while battling an evil sorcerer and all the wonders of magic before he went on to become the most celebrated mariner in the history of the world. Six years after a tragedy killed his father and left him alone to care for his blind older brother, Sinbad, 18, works in a shop that sells maps and charts to places all over the world, including destinations of a mythical nature. One day a mysterious prince arrives seeking a chart to the legendary island of Babil, where the magical Waters of Zemzem hold back the evil King of the Jinn. The shopkeeper offers to sell the prince a chart to the island along with the use of one of his servants: Sinbad's brother, Nebu, whom the shopkeeper believes is somehow connected to a famous prophecy about the Waters. But when the shopkeeper demands an exorbitant price, the wicked nobleman kills the shopkeeper, takes the chart, and abducts Nebu, launching Sinbad on a desperate quest to save his brother and stop the prince from unleashing the King of the Jinn. This thrilling retelling of the classic character of Sinbad is the debut novel of award-winning screenwriter, John Royan, a highly engaging page-turner for lovers of myths, legends and fantasy that tells of the amazing first voyage of Sinbad the Sailor. For any adults thinking of giving this book to a younger person, the story contains no explicit language or content. It's tone is adult, but I wrote it with my 12 and 13 year old sons in mind and if it were made into a film it believe it would be rated PG, simply because of some of the deaths caused by the story's mythological creatures.

Saving Chopin by Michael Banas 4.4 Stars (13 Reviews)    Price verified 56 minutes ago

Fred Chopin is a resident of a homeless shelter in Philadelphia. An unexpected health crisis takes him to the Philadelphia General Hospital where he comes under the care of Dr. Valerie Abrams, a pulmonologist who uncovers a mysterious tattoo on Chopin's body. Abrams convinces Chopin to appear at a medical forum, where he piques the interest of Dr. Richard Ralston, a heart surgeon with a passion for classical music. Questions about Chopin's ancestry unleash an investigation into Fred's past, including his stay at Saint Michael's Orphanage, a shuttered building on the outskirts of Philadelphia with a controversial link to post World War II Germany. As more details emerge, the reticent life of Fred Chopin quickly becomes the focal point of several factions, including the director of the Philadelphia Sinfonietta, the United States Government, and a former wayward classmate expelled from St. Michael's on Chopin's behalf. As events progress, it becomes readily apparent to Dr. Abrams that her window of opportunity to save Chopin's life is rapidly closing. Saving Chopin is a modern day medical examination of Fryderyk Chopin, a Polish composer who died in 1849, the cause of his death still controversial. The storyline intermittently returns to the 19th and 20th century, in an attempt to resolve parallels between the story's main character and the iconic composer. The life and times of Fryderyk Chopin is interwoven throughout the narrative, as is a final diagnosis of his disease process.

The Underground Army: Fighters of the Bialystok Ghetto by Chaika Grossman 3.7 Stars (21 Reviews)    Price verified 26 minutes ago

Originally published in 1965, Chaika Grossman's The Underground Army has become a classic of Holocaust testimonials. Chaika was born in Bialystok, Poland, in 1919, and joined the Hashomar Hatzair Youth movement as a teenager. When the Nazis invaded Poland in 1939 and began their brutal persecution of the Jews, she became one of the most prominent and active members of the resistance. Disguised by her Aryan looks and managing to obtain false identification papers, she acted as a delegate between Jewish ghettoes in Lithuania and Poland. She acquired arms for the fighters and when the famous Bialystok Ghetto Uprising took place in 1943 Chaika was there, fighting in the streets. After escaping the battle she organised rescue operations and the transfer of survivors into the surrounding forests. She was just twenty four years old. The Bialystok Uprising was one of the great acts of resistance by the Jews in the horrific tragedy of the Holocaust. This book is both an important historical record and a dramatic, first-hand account. Chaika Grossman was a heroine, but she downplays her own role, always focused on the suffering of her fellows. Nonetheless, she emerges from the page as an extraordinarily courageous, resilient and brilliant young woman. Her astonishing story is told with clarity and immense sympathy, utterly engrossing and at times heart rending. After the war Chaika Grossman served on the Central Committee of the Jews of Poland and was awarded Poland's highest medal for heroism. It is estimated that of almost 60,000 Jews who lived in Bialystok before World War Two, only a few hundred survived the Holocaust. Praise for The Underground Army: 'The most heroic chapter in the dark history of the annihilation of European Jewry was written by teenagers with guns. Brave beyond imagination, starving, desperate, childless, parentless, unloved by their countrymen - Chaika Grossman's The Underground Army is a gripping and richly detailed account of her life as a ...

The Disposable Soma by Zeb Haradon 3.9 Stars (12 Reviews)    Price verified 26 minutes ago

The year is 2164 and politics has become unrecognizable. Democrats have become conservative, Republicans have become liberal, and an upstart party called the Empathy Party blames all the world's ills on sociopaths. An assassination leaves the Empathy Party's candidacy wide open and a clown car of candidates vies for the nomination. One, hotel heir and failed comedian Jim Liu, stands out from the others when he chooses a genetically modified, super-intelligent, opium-addicted parrot as his running mate. This book follows his quest to become the Empathy Party's nominee for the 2164 presidential election. His campaign takes him through an America where most days are public holidays, psychedelic drug use is widespread, and the last uncontacted people on Earth are the unknowing subjects of a reality show whose fans have tuned it into a new religion. Please note that this is a disturbing book, it is not written for children.

The Ministry of the Apostle Paul by James Thomas Lee Jr 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 2 hours ago

When this book was begun in late November 2013, the intent was to write a commentary on chapter five of Paul's letter to the church at Ephesus. But about fifty pages into that endeavor, it became clear that the book was not going in that direction. For one thing, his letter to that church had not even been mentioned in those pages. For another, the focus up to that point had been on Paul's missionary journeys. The reason for those problems was that the original intent had been to put his letter to the church into the context of his journeys. But there was so much to say about the journeys that his letter to the church had taken a back seat. So the title was changed to its current title, and the remaining efforts were applied in that direction. This book is a history of Paul's ministry. Great effort has been expended to try to date when and where Paul had gone. Then, at each stopping point, the more significant events of what had happened to him are shared. Most people would probably not think of him as taking five separate missionary journeys. But that is because the first one and the last one were not as carefully documented as the middle three. In the pages that follow, the reader will be able to clearly see those five journeys, plus his two separate imprisonments in Rome. Most people also have probably never attempted to put his writing of his thirteen letters to the churches and certain individuals into the context of what was going on in his life at the time. But this book has done that and has also dedicated space to trying to report what he was saying in those letters. For example, the person who reads this book will learn what Paul had meant when he wrote in Romans 1:20-32 that God turned certain individuals over to a reprobate mind. He or she will learn what Paul had meant in I Timothy 2:11-15 when he wrote about women being silent in the church. He or she will learn what Paul had meant in I Timothy 3:1-7 concerning men and women being involved in the ...

Caution! Hot Mess Ahead (Work in Progress Book 2) by Jackie Paxson 4.8 Stars (13 Reviews)    Price verified 56 minutes ago

My life is a hot mess. I love sex. I'm not shy about it. Honestly, it's the only kind of relationship I've had with men. That was until I slept with my boss. Now, I have no job, no car, and an aunt with a drinking problem living with me. My life was in the shitter. Well, my friends had a proposition. Stop having sex with random guys, have a genuine friendship with one while going on platonic dates, and they will dress up with me for Comic Universal. Everything until the dressing up part made me cringe. But what did I have to lose? My life came with caution cones and police tape. While I found the perfect man to be friends with, I didn't count on what those friend dates would do to me. His sweet smile and kind eyes made me rethink my position on relationships. Could I really let a man into my life further than my panties? Could I risk my heart when my life was a wreck? Could I do all this while resisting climbing the man like a monkey? I was a big girl. I could handle the challenge, even if that meant wearing a chastity belt around him. Between my crazy aunt, her menagerie, his bananas granny, an evil child at daycare, and a father in a hippie cult, I could do anything. My life was about to get a lot messier.

Over 50 and Fabulous : The Second Adulthood Thriving Guide by Tania Klein 5.0 Stars (5 Reviews)    Price verified one hour ago

You are fifty. Now what? As women approach their fiftieth birthday, they often experience hot flashes, mood swings, and an array of emotions, ranging from frustration, anxiety, desperation, hopelessness, blissful ignorance, and a false sense of bravery. Rarely, if ever, do women say that the day they turned fifty was the best day of their lives. But what if we were to turn this narrative around and start viewing turning fifty (sixty, seventy, or any age, for that matter) as the time in our lives when we finally get to be our true selves and do things that are truly important to us? When, instead of trying to conform to society's outdated standards, we can proudly embrace our uniqueness. A time when expectations and polite social behavior don't make you feel boxed in or that you need to "act your age," but rather, cause you to see yourself as an immensely advanced person capable of doing whatever you set your mind on. This is the time to rewrite the History of Aging and reconsider what is possible in your Second Adulthood. Not only for the rare kind of women that lead the movement but for all of us. In her book, founder and CEO of Rejuvenation Station and creator of Phace Gym, Tania Yanis Klein, makes a compelling case for rethinking your current age, modifying your daily routine, adding restorative face and neck exercises, and why she thinks these actions will change your life. "There is so much we can do to look our best without turning to plastic surgery or dressing like our daughters. And looking older than you are might be a sign that you don't take good care of yourself and your body."- Dr. Heike Franz, Coach for women 50+

Galactic Plunder: A LitRPG Isekai Adventure by Mitchell Sean 3.8 Stars (10 Reviews)    Price verified 26 minutes ago

In the dawn of a distinct universe, a cosmic event occurred where its seven original Concepts, the very pillars of its existence, gained self-awareness. These Concepts, beings of limitless knowledge and power, embarked on a relentless quest to enrich their nascent domain. Their strategy was one of cosmic plunder: invading diverse universes, abducting emerging civilizations, and appropriating a plethora of innovative ideas. This relentless pursuit has led to a vibrant and tumultuous cosmos, where a vast array of creatures, divine entities, advanced societies, and distinct species relentlessly struggle for supremacy, all aspiring to ascend to the prestigious yet unclaimed eighth throne of power. Millennia upon millennia passed in this fashion, and then, in a pivotal moment of cosmic significance, Earth was abruptly uprooted from the comforting warmth of its solar system. This event marked the beginning of humanity's forced integration into this grand cosmic tapestry. The initiation rite for Earth's denizens was a challenging Tutorial, a test of survival and adaptability. Among all Earthlings, it was Alexios who, through a blend of serendipity and misfortune, emerged as the foremost conqueror of this daunting trial. His triumph was a double-edged sword: while he was bestowed with a gift resembling immortality, a semblance of deathlessness, his victory also designated him as the vanguard of his species. This honor thrust him into the treacherous realm of Elysium, a world renowned among the cosmos for its unparalleled dangers, a creation of the omnipotent Concepts themselves. The statistics were grim -- nine out of every ten champions who set foot in Elysium perished on their initial day. Yet, Alexios stood apart from the rest, armed not just with his wits and courage but also blessed with the boon of multiple existences, a multitude of opportunities to navigate the perils of this most formidable of worlds.

Realm of Frost : A LitRPG Isekai by Lots Chrono 4.5 Stars (9 Reviews)    Price verified 26 minutes ago

Following an extraordinary encounter with an archangel, Claire Hill, also known as the 'Ice Queen' by her peers, finds herself transported to a different realm. Her demeanor, characterized by a dismissive attitude towards others, a naturally repellent aura, and a piercing gaze, leads Michael to ponder how Claire will manage to integrate into this new world. He resigns himself to observing her journey with a mix of amusement and curiosity. What unfolds is a unique blend of humor, fantasy, action, and a touch of everyday life. Our protagonist, once known as the Ice Queen, transforms into an actual Ice Fairy, wielding the ability to manipulate ice - a fitting power, considering her moniker and even the story's title and cover art. This narrative strikes a balance between earnest and playful storytelling, intertwining satirical commentary on the Isekai genre with its own Isekai narrative. It also explores a budding romance between two characters who are alike yet distinct. However, there's more than meets the eye in this tale.
