Prophecies for Today: The Minor Prophets Paraphrased with Daniel by Kimberly M. Hartfield (Go Fish Ministries, Inc.) 5.0 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified one minute ago

This Go Fish Ministries publication is a paraphrase of the 12 Minor prophets and Daniel. Its main purpose is to present a simplified version to those who have difficulty understanding more traditional ones, especially children and teens. My inspiration was to give my own children a more understandable, easier to read text, and one that would encourage them and other young people to read the Word of God.

Donald Trump Destroys Babylon the Great by Will Clark (Motivation Basics) 4.5 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 25 minutes ago

Who is Babylon the Great? Revelation 17:5 presents a description: "And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth." This question has been a mystery since Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation two thousand years ago. Some claim Babylon is the Vatican. They even write that the Pope as head of that religion is the prophesied Antichrist. Still many others write that the United States will become that prophesied Babylon with her fall from grace and economics; which will lead to degradation and turning from God in despair. Throughout history many have offered a definition of this Babylon; but in vain. The mystery of this question could not have been solved until our current generation. Now that answer is 'crystal clear' as prophesied in Revelation 4:6. The mystery is solved in the verse following the one describing Mystery Babylon. Verse 6 continues: "And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus." Only two religions are described as women in Revelation. One is Christianity. The other is represented by Babylon the Great; the whore that sits upon the scarlet colored beast. Babylon is revealed. She still rides that scarlet colored beast called Satan; and she still delights in destroying Christians and anything related to the Grace of God. Yes; Babylon is that religion; and she is hell-bound to create such havoc and chaos on earth until that Great War erupts. But even with her great strength given by Satan she will be defeated and totally annihilated as praised by an angel in Chapter 18: "Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen!" God's forces will win that Great Battle as described in Chapter 9. That battle will begin when the fifth angel sounds the fifth trumpet. God's forces will be led by a king, 'the angel of the bottomless pit' whose name in Greek is Apollyon. This is described as 'Destroyer.' Could the sound of the fifth ...

The Monk & The Skunk: Do Animals go to Heaven? by John Regan 5.0 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 13 minutes ago

For thousands of years, humanity has struggled with the question, 'Do animals go to Heaven'? Pet lovers especially; long to know if their beloved pets will join them in paradise. In this treasure of a book, Aroma the Skunk asks Father Charlie the guitar playing Monk that very same question. His answer, and the ensuing drama, propels us into the daily lives of the animal kingdom for a firsthand look at what life as an animal is really like. The striking similarity between their life experiences and ours is breathtaking. They hope and dream, love and forgive, fear and tremble. In the opening scene we discover that Aroma has a problem and eventually convinces Father Charlie to counsel him, and a friend, who live near Charlie's monastery in the Italian countryside. As word spreads throughout the valley, Father Charlie is joined by several of his fellow monks as hundreds of animals converge on the monastery for counseling. The monks are amazed to find that the animals present with the same problems and interpersonal relationships that humans experience. And their curiosity about their eternal welfare, and their distrust of humans, takes center stage throughout the story. Charlie and his confreres counsel the animals individually, teaching them to love and forgive one another, so as to live in peace. Many powerful and moving scenes cause the reader to laugh, cry, cheer, and applaud, as this fast moving drama compels the reader to turn page after page. No one who finishes this story will walk away unchanged. Their love for our animal brothers and sisters will increase dramatically and cause them to encourage others to behave likewise. The truth that animals are the creation of our loving God and deserve the same love and respect that we offer to one another is reinforced again and again. Much of what fills the pages of this exciting story has not been revealed in this brief description; but rest assured, as the story races to the finish, the ending will shock and surprise ...

CAKEWALK: A Novel (The Cake Series) by Douglas Bell (Bumbershoot Press) 4.3 Stars (26 Reviews)    Price verified 43 minutes ago

"Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. Yes, I gave this book a six-star rating out of a possible five. Where to even begin with how much I loved this book." Goodreads Reviewer, Transgender Bookworm Die-hard traditional Texas is the backdrop where success and nonconformity cannot coexist for Bryan Hicks, an African-American divorced father of two kids, Lindsey, the athletic golden child, and Lance, the unorthodox queer thespian. Bryan's mother loves bragging to her high-society girlfriends about Bryan's accomplishments and promotion to VP at a large multinational oil/gas company. Bryan vigorously steers clear of conversations with his mother about who he is dating because Bryan has been secretly dating Nadia, a transgender woman. Cakewalk is contemporary fiction based on Douglas Bell's past experiences. Bell speaks from an African-American heteronormative (privileged) cisgender voice to candidly expose the trauma of transphobia and homophobia. Bell wants to humanize the struggle of trans women to live on their terms. Bell asks us to believe in ourselves, trust in ourselves, and don't let society define who you are. There is enough courage within you to be the person you want to be. Editorial Reviews Goodreads Reviewer, Erikka I must say this book absolutely had me by the first chapter. Each character represented someone i have have met or known and truly had me hooked. The fact that as I dove deeper into each page it was as if I was watching a movie of so many lives play out right before me. This up and coming author has truly snatched my attention and made me reflect on the perspectives of others as well as the symbolism throughout this read. If you want to laugh, cry, feel anger, empathy, and reflection on how and who you are as well as get a little hot and heavy this is definitely the right book for you. Step into a world you may have never known existed and watch the similarities of what all humans long for no matter the pronoun.

"Whether you think you can, or you think you can't -- you're right." ? Henry Ford "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." ? Hebrews 11:1 NKJV If these two quotes are accurate and most would agree that they are, then what is blocking many broken souls from enjoying the richness of vibrant health and happiness? Is it their belief systems or patterns of thinking? Often, the answer is yes. During all your years of schooling, were you ever offered a course on developing thinking patterns that would enable you to live in a state of health and happiness? It is here now. Built upon the dual foundations of Scripture and Neural Science, the collected expertise unveiled upon the following pages took nearly thirty years to decipher, test, and assemble. Although this book came through two different men, the content is inspired by one Source; our great God of love. This book is not about eliminating every struggle and trial in your life but enlisting both the good and the challenging events to empower upward growth. Your soul is a garden. You harvest what you plant, germinate, nourish, and grow. "The fruit of God's Spirit is, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Your faith will grow firmly in the Spirit's soil of power, love, and self-discipline. Especially amidst the pains and struggles that come your way in this life's once-in-forever opportunity. The great news is that life on earth provides many necessary difficulties. These you will come to know as health enabling vehicles. As Carl Jung, the founder of analytical psychology, declared, "Man needs difficulties; they are necessary for health." Remember, this is your journey. American Presidents And God: Presidents That Have Helped USA by Christopher Roberts 3.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 2 hours ago

This book has been written to give you a taste of the kind of people who have held the office of the President of the United States of America in times gone by. Particularly this book will investigate the religious and Christian views of past presidents to discover whether or not they left a lasting legacy for future presidents to follow. I have also deliberately restricted the research of this book to a time period of about 132 years, between George Washington, who took office in 1789 to Woodrow Wilson, who left office just after World War I in 1921. This helps to avoid repetitiveness if we were to consider presidents from a wider timescale. In order to decide who would be eligible for inclusion in this book, I set up a three-prong test, which is highlighted in more detail in chapter one. Finally, this book has been written to help inform you about the kind of president you would like to see governing the United States from the Oval Office in the future; particularly if you want to base your decision-making, during election times, on the life and experiences of past presidents.

Becoming a Christian and Living a Blessed Life by James Thomas Lee Jr 1.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 4 hours ago

This text has been written as a way for this author to cope with the stay-at-home orders that have been put into place for the currently ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But that does not take away from the topics that have been discussed. It has actually given this author the opportunity to write one more book about the two things that are most important in this existence. The first is becoming a Christian or getting saved. The second is living the life that the Lord wants the saved individual to live. It is believed that sharing the gospel with others and encouraging them to get saved, too, is the most important thing that any saint of God can do. Therefore, the first six chapters of this text talk about how the Old Testament saints had probably gotten saved. Jesus had not yet been incarnated. He had not yet died on the cross to pay the sin debt for the people of this world. So it is very fascinating to try to understand what they had understood and then to see how they had used that information. The second part of this text tackles the second most important thing in this life. It deals with how an individual, once saved by Christ and indwelled by the Holy Spirit, can live a blessed life. Everyone wants to be happy. Everyone wants to enjoy good things. Everyone wants to feel important. So the second part of this text will attempt to show how all of those things can be done. It will discuss specific things that a person can do to live a blessed life. Those things will be called behaviors. Then it will discuss certain ways that a person should feel to live a blessed life. Those ways will be called attitudes. It will bundle all of those behaviors and attitudes together in a wrapper of praise and worship and then end by identifying some of the benefits that one can enjoy by being saved and by living a blessed life.Every book that I have ever written, including this one, has always been written with the goals of honoring the Lord and of sharing Bible truth with others. It ...

But his father has greater plans for Reza -- to lead an uprising and take his place as the rightful king. As Reza struggles with the weight of his impending leadership, treachery brews among his men who would proclaim his royal identity. His closest companions, Misha and Kamillah, may be the only ones he can trust. Yet Reza finds himself caught between Misha's religious devotion and a growing closeness with Kamillah. In the hidden canyons of Petra, Reza must decide -- continue fleeing from his preordained path, or embrace a role he was born to play. Will he defy his father's wishes and determine his own future? Or will he seize his prophesied power and change the course of an empire? An evocative story of destiny and desire, Star of Night transports readers to a lost world of splendor, secrets, and intrigue in an immersive tale of one man's battle between the longing of his heart and the fate imposed upon him.

The Final Catastrophic Events on Earth: Are You Ready? by Kerry Schoonmaker 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 12 hours ago

Understanding Biblical Prophecies by allowing the Bible to interpret itself, instead of the false private speculative interpretations utilized throughout Christianity today, is extremely important as we approach the end of this world. When Jesus came to earth during the first century there were a lot of false prophecies floating around Jerusalem concerning the Messiah and how He would come to this planet. Through those private speculative interpretations, the majority of the Jewish people were led to believe that He would come to earth as a king to set up His kingdom and rule the Romans. The leaders wanted the overthrow of the Roman government and applied prophecies that actually pertained to a later coming of Christ to His first coming to establish this prophetic belief. When Jesus didn't come as the Jewish leadership expected, the vast majority of the Jewish people rejected Jesus as the Messiah and then had the Romans crucify their own Savior, all due to incorrect interpretation of Bible prophecy. Out of the thousands that knew about Him and learned of Him there were only 120 people in the upper room at Pentecost that followed Him due to what would today be called denominational prejudice. The overwhelming majority followed the false prophecies promoted by the Jewish leadership. In fact, the vast majority have never been correct. Think of the times of Noah, Lot, Elijah, Moses, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jonah, etc. This same scenario will take place as Jesus comes the second time. To a great extent the majority will be incorrect, will have followed the false prophecies of their leaders, and lost their way. We therefore must be really careful with Bible prophecy to make sure it is interpreted correctly as we approach the end of this world. The correct interpretation comes from the Bible and the Bible only, not private speculative interpretations. As we allow the Bible to interpret itself, we will come to the correct conclusions regarding the questions that are asked ...

UNDERGROUND BASES: Subterranean Military Facilities and the Cities Beneath Our Feet (The Underground Knowledge Series Book 7) by James Morcan (Sterling Gate Books) 3.8 Stars (193 Reviews)    Price verified 12 hours ago

What do the world's superpowers get up to in their secret underground bunkers? UNDERGROUND BASES: Subterranean Military Facilities and the Cities Beneath Our Feet, by novelists, filmmakers and independent researchers James Morcan & Lance Morcan, details confirmed and rumored underground facilities in the United States and around the world. Containing rare photographic evidence throughout as well as little-known quotes from key government figures, it makes a compelling case for there being an enormous hidden world under the Earth's surface. The Morcans speculate that the covert underground infrastructure may be far bigger than anyone has previously supposed and is likely used for the development of suppressed technologies. Their sources include declassified files, university reports, WikiLeaks' documents and interviews with ex-military personnel turned whistleblowers who claim to have worked in "cities below ground". UNDERGROUND BASES delivers a vast array of facts and theories that ultimately allows readers to form their own conclusions. The exposé covers everything from: the US Department of Defense's verified evacuation areas beneath the White House and the Pentagon as well as their acknowledged sites at Mount Weather and Cheyenne Mountain; underground facilities around the world including Russia's sprawling Mezhgorye complex and Australia's CIA-managed Pine Gap; the long-forgotten newspaper headlines which reported that Adolf Hitler and senior SS officers may have built a Nazi colony beneath Antarctica after WW2; rumors that human-alien joint ventures are occurring below ground and that kidnapped citizens are being detained in subterranean prisons for illegal medical experimentation such as cloning. Why are the Global Elite spending trillions of dollars of their black budgets to build such vast networks of underground (and undersea and under-ice) sites? Are they simply preparing for emergencies as per official government explanations? Do they ...

God Was in Complete Control of Job's Circumstances by James Thomas Lee Jr 4.0 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified 13 hours ago

This book begins by examining the two occasions when Satan and the "sons of God" presented themselves in heaven before the Lord. A brief explanation will be offered at that time concerning the use of the term "sons of God" and what it has meant in other places in the Bible, especially in Genesis 6:2 and Genesis 6:4. From there, the discussion will show how people can know that Job actually lived and when he had probably lived. The point will even be made that some theologians believe that Moses might have been the author of the book of Job. Next, the visit to Job by his three friends will be considered. Their comments about him and their suggested reasons for his problems will be presented. During those discussions, one will be able to see a definite shift in Job's attitude to where he began to break out of his discouraged, depressed state. Contrary to what many people might think, it will become clear that his friends may have actually contributed to his overall improvement even if their remarks had not been very favorable. In hindsight, they may have been the perfect way out for Job, as is described by I Corinthians 10:13. One of the keys of this book is to show that it is all right and not sin to question when things go wrong in one's life for no apparent reason. To that end, four questions, which Job had asked and also which shows how he had viewed his situation as hopeless, will be discussed. Following that, three important questions that many people might have about Job's overall testing will be discussed. The first is why the Lord allowed his friends to criticize him. The second is how Job could have ever been satisfied again knowing that his original children had been pawns in Satan's hands. Then the third questions looks at why Job had repented at the end of his time of testing, even though the Bible does not say that he had done anything wrong. The last part of this book will show that God was in complete control of Job's circumstances. It will also ...

Distress of Souls: Yet Trouble Came by Joseph Dulmage 4.7 Stars (5 Reviews)    Price verified 19 minutes ago

Pain is real. Whether it's physical, psychological, emotional, or spiritual, suffering is a human condition, and its purpose is a human question. In Distress of Souls, author Joseph Dulmage pulls from his years of experience as a prison chaplain to take a deep look at coping with pain and searching for meaning while in the midst of it. Tackling difficult areas including addiction, alcoholism, divorce, suicide, backsliding, the death of children, and heaven, this remarkable resource presents a compassionate and biblical treatise on sorrow and anguish. Dulmage divides the book into three parts titled "Distress of Souls," "Divorce and Remarriage," and "Approaching Adventure" to encourage Christians and non-Christians alike about what the Bible has to say about life's troubles, the hope we can find within difficult times, and the reality of an actual heaven beyond the grave. In the vein of Harold Kushner's When Bad Things Happen to Good People, this extraordinary book shows how we can appeal to God for help in the midst of turmoil and seize those scriptures declaring that the Lord delivers us from them all.

The Judaisms of Jesus’ Followers: An Introduction to Early Christianity in its Jewish Context by Dr. Juan Marcos Bejarano-Gutierrez (Yaron Publishing) 4.2 Stars (190 Reviews)    Price verified 34 minutes ago

The Jewish sect which ascribed Jesus the title of Messiah was eventually transformed into a non-Jewish movement wholly separated from its Jewish context. The transformation was not instantaneous, and there were deviating or at the least parallel streams of Jesus supporters early on. A critical mistake which has been made, in my opinion, is the assumption that the Jesus movement was uniform even among its early Jewish followers. Analyzing the original movement(s) in the first centuries of the Common Era can reveal how the schism between Judaism and Christianity evolved. This book explores the fascinating world of Jewish life in the Second Temple Era and the Jewish groups that endorsed Jesus' messianic claims.

One Page at a Time: Daily Spiritual Growth in Recovery by Paul Kocak 4.5 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 50 minutes ago

The slogan "Turn It Over" has a rich and powerful history in the annals of recovery. Loosely translated -- if any translating is needed -- it means: put your problem, addiction, disease, or life itself in the hands of Someone or Something Other Than Yourself. (Lowercase all of that if you prefer.) This someone or something doesn't require a name. It doesn't need a credo or a belief system. All it needs is practice. Your practice. Now take the concept of Turn It Over, and transfer it to the printed page. Turn It Over becomes Turn the Page. Select any page at random here and read the brief commentary. Consider the concept or notion as food for thought -- and action. Or use a page each week in a group setting. The possibilities are endless. This compilation is not for everyone. Some in the recovery community will object, declaring, "I have all I need in the approved literature." We have no quibble with that view. These pages draw upon received wisdom acquired by thousands of recovering people over the course of many decades. The notions expressed here are merely suggestions and make no claim to being original in their musings. They reflect a perspective that invites others to craft their own vantage point or angle of vision. They are a supplement rather than a substitute; discursive rather than subversive. You are invited to add this book to your spiritual toolkit.

Explore a Fabled Lost World of Knowledge and Power. Legends are the relics of a shipwreck; far more of the secrets of the past have been lost than preserved. Accounts of what truly exists in our world began long after the realities had faded from human memory -- legends arose to preserve those realities. Explore the secrets underlying one of the greatest of all ancient legends, that of a hidden society of highly enlightened masters living deep in the majestic Himalayan Mountains, revealing knowledge that for long millenniums has remained hidden under the most intense silence. On an extended trek in that vast wilderness, explorer M.G. Hawking encountered a tiny village nestled below massive ice peaks, a village called Siddhalaya. There he had the privilege of meeting extraordinary men and women -- introduced to him as "masters" and "adepts" -- possessed of knowledge and powers virtually unknown to the Western world. Transcribed directly from the archived journals and field notes of Hawking's five years in the Himalayan regions of Nepal and Tibet, in this book you'll discover detailed narratives of Hawking's experiences and conversations with true masters and sages, read first-hand accounts of the psychokinetic abilities he witnessed and explore in-depth descriptions of the esoteric knowledge that make such extraordinary abilities possible. Overcoming the Powers of Darkness: -Using God's Spiritual Armor by Thomas Bear 4.6 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified 59 minutes ago

It is the goal of our enemy to lull us into an apathetic, lukewarm spiritual existence. To obtain the abundant life, we cannot sit back passively and wait for God to spiritually zap us. We must engage in spiritual battle. In his epistle to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul used imagery of a soldier's armor. Some have suggested that we engage in spiritual battle by mentioning the various pieces of this armor in a daily prayer. This is not true. Paul was teaching about spiritual principles that we must employ as a way of life. This book examines these spiritual principles and provides strong exhortation to increase our desire to live the abundant life that Jesus offers to us.

Why I Believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Thirteen Chapters on Why a Pre-Tribulation, Pre-Millennial Rapture of the Church Age Saints is the Best ... by Paul McCarty 4.6 Stars (16 Reviews)    Price verified 9 hours ago

Are you confused about end time events? Are you concerned about what the future holds? Are you tired of ministries that use Bible prophecy as a money making scheme instead of simply proclaiming the truth of God's Word? If you could purchase just one book that has never missed on predicting a future event would you buy it? Approximately 30% of the Bible is unfulfilled prophecy - future events that are going to come to pass just as they are predicted. Every single prophecy about the first coming of the LORD Jesus Christ was fulfilled literally - therefore why do we doubt that the prophecies concerning His second coming will also be fulfilled literally? In this non-copyrighted book you have thirteen riveting chapters, quoting hundreds of Bible verses about the soon rapture of the church age saints and the tribulation events that follow on the earth. The contents of this book involved over a decade of research along with much prayer for the leadership of the Holy Spirit. There was not one particular author or teacher blindly followed when writing this book, but everything was weighed with the Holy Scriptures and this book even goes against the main-stream interpretation at times. It is said that the LORD Jesus Christ literally fulfilled 108 specific prophecies with His first coming over 2000 years ago. The chances of just one man fulfilling only eight of these prophecies is astronomical-one in ten to the 21st power. The Bible is the future already written, but most people dismiss it or use allegory/symbolism to explain away its clear teachings. If you want to learn more about the truth of the rapture and related future events, I encourage you to purchase this book. It is a quick read at right at 110 full size pages, but has much scripture and links that provide a treasure chest of information wealth. It will motivate you to read the Bible for yourself and have confidence in "Thus Saith the LORD". See the short excerpt below: "Revelation allows the careful ...

The Church Will Not Go through the Tribulation by James Thomas Lee Jr 5.0 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 13 hours ago

In the pages that follow, a high-level study of two general views for interpreting the scriptures will be conducted. Those two views are Covenant Theology and Dispensationalism. But the study of those views will only be done at an introductory level since the intent will be to see whether or not the Church will go through the Tribulation. Of the two, Dispensationalism seems to present the stronger case. That is because it uses a literal approach for understanding the end-time events while Covenant Theology uses a non-literal approach. Another view, called Replacement Theology, will also be considered along with the other two. But since the decision to interpret the relevant passages of scripture literally or non-literally is so important, six examples plus an even stronger rationale will be discussed to show that the end-time scripture passages will probably literally happen. Then five more examples plus an even better reason will be discussed to show that the Church will not literally go through the Tribulation or even any part of it. But while the Church in the Tribulation is a topic about which many people might be fascinated, the real conclusion presented in this text is that it is much more important to wholly give oneself unto the Lord and to earnestly serve Him. It is great fun and even somewhat profitable to try to figure out some of the more complicated theological issues. However, nothing is more important in this existence than living for the Lord and encouraging others to do the same. It has been said that ninety percent of all Christians in the world today have never led anyone to the Lord. Even worse is that ninety-five percent of those ninety percent have never even tried. Most of the trivial, temporal things that people consume their entire life away on are not worth the bother. So the admonition is to keep things in their proper place. Studying difficult issues can be fun. But nothing is more important than using one's spiritual gifts to minister ...

World War S: The Silence Begins (World War Spiritual Book 1) by Stephen Paul Thomas (Articity Publishing) 3.8 Stars (81 Reviews)    Price verified 13 minutes ago

The world stands on the brink of another worldwide economic and social crisis. People look for understanding through occult practices, so that mediums and fortunetellers have become wildly successful in helping them escape reality. There are no more churches, and established religion is a thing of the past. Christians must now gather in secret. In this fragile era emerges Josh Heartley, a young boy with astounding prophetic abilities. Though Josh had a heart transplant in his early years, it doesn't slow him down. He is a light for everyone around him, and he can often tell future events with supernatural clarity. During an accident, Josh has a Near Death Experience and finds himself in the middle of a spiritual battle that goes back more than two thousand years. Dr Julie Bond, conducting a research study involving Josh, hopes to unlock the secret behind NDEs and their ties to the human soul. She soon suspects the key lies within this very special boy. Stephen Paul Thomas's thrilling novel is based on shocking real-world events of a thousand-years-long demonic occupation told through exciting storylines, unexpected twists, and many historical examples. If you read Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness, you will find this more eyeopening and shocking... all who would like to know more about the unseen battle must read this series! "Thomas (Cluster, 2015) deftly paints a world in which Christians have been backed into a corner by the belief systems of other cultures -- like that of Linda's ancestral village in Central America -- and by demons. These demons, including Karnelo, the "lust-addict spirit," have been possessing people for hundreds of years, using human tools to instigate everything from the Inquisition to organized pedophilia. Thomas' prose presents the complex story evocatively, as in the line "Linda's chest rhythmically lifted and sank, like water in the mighty ocean, which kept its secrets in the dark deep." - Kirkus Review

Authority in the Family by Mike Connell 4.6 Stars (8 Reviews)    Price verified 12 hours ago

But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man,[a] and the head of Christ is God. (1 Corinthians 11:3) God showed Adam a big garden, representative of the possibility of inheriting the whole world, if he handled it right. He said: I want you to dress it, keep it, cultivate it, so it becomes productive - be a watchman over it, guard that garden. You have to cultivate your wife, so she becomes a beautiful woman. Take her out, and buy her something nice, look after her; speak words to her. Headship is Male (1 of 5) The source of all power and authority is God, who has entrusted it to 4 specific places on earth: Government, Church, Family, and Individuals. Spiritual authority in the home is Gods design, and a source of releasing power and blessing. Everything God established, the enemy has tried to destroy and curse. Rather than react out of your own opinions or experience, open your heart to God, our creator. See what God calls us to do, acknowledge it, learn how to co-operate with God, and enjoy the results. Headship and Responsibility (2 of 5) God has set spiritual laws and natural laws in place - we can't shift them, they are upheld by His power. Our only response is to recognize them and align ourselves with them to flow under His blessing, or resist. Resisting the laws of God (even in ignorance) opens a legal doorway for demonic spirits to gain access to our lives and bring destruction. This teaching will help you become aware of your positioning and help you move forward. Guard that Garden (3 of 5) In Genesis 3, God gave man a clear mandate (area of responsibility), with instructions to "dress it" and "keep it". How does this apply today? What does it mean? This session practically unpacks this - how to work it out in marriage? What happens if we don't? What am I responsible for and what am I not responsible for? How does it affect the spirit world? What are the broad principals? Is there room for ...

The Prophet In Today's Church (Life in Christ) by Joan Boney 3.9 Stars (4 Reviews)    Price verified 14 hours ago

I went to coffee with two Baptist women and one of them told me pastor was building a new church building. She went on to say there was a woman in their church group who was often against the pastor in his projects. She said to me, "What do you think might be wrong with this woman?" Without any thought at all I replied, "Maybe she's a prophet." ***** Most people in churches today do not have any understanding of New Testament prophets and the work they are set in the body of Christ to do by the will of God. (Many churches do not even realize there are apostles and prophets in today's church.) But the Bible says: After Jesus arose, HE gave to the church five ministry offices: Ephesians 4:11-12 ? HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: ***** In the OT, the people went to a prophet to inquire of God to see what God wanted them to do. In the NT, each person who believes in God is given the Spirit of God to show the person the heart of God in the issues pertaining to this present life. ? I Corinthians 2 & Ephesians 1 Jesus said the Holy Spirit would do the following work for the believer. - teach us all things - remind us of words of Jesus - guide us into all truth - show us things to come (John 14:26 & John 16:13) This equips us to know the way of God for us as we live on this earth. ***** So what do prophets in the church do today? In this book, several examples from Old and New Testaments are presented showing the assignments God gave prophets. It is a bit like walking a tight rope without a net, for the prophet warns people, often without visible evidence. God often gives His prophet spiritual gifts of word of knowledge, word of wisdom, and discerning of spirits to help the church. ? I Corinthians 12 A prophet just knows without knowing how he ...
