Learning about God from His Attributes and Names by James Thomas Lee Jr 4.8 Stars (7 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

The Hebrew word, 'elohiym, for "God" was used at least two thousand six hundred and six times in the Old Testament. Its first use in the scriptures was in Genesis 1:1. The Hebrew word, yhwh, for "LORD" was used six thousand five hundred and nineteen times in the Old Testament. Its first use in the scriptures was in Genesis 2:4-5. Those two Hebrew words when put together become yhwh 'elohiym and form the expression "LORD God." That combination appears five hundred and nineteen times in the Old Testament. But each of those words was also used separately throughout the scriptures with other combinations of words to describe different, unique characteristics about the Lord. Many of those characteristics or names will be discussed beginning with chapter four of this text. But the first three chapters will describe some of God's more significant personal attributes. Among them will be His omnipotence, His omniscience, and His omnipresence. Other personal attributes are that He is a person and personal. He is also love, truth, holy, righteous, gracious, merciful, longsuffering, good, and eternal. But while those attributes do not relate directly to His names, they do provide a very useful introduction to His nature and to His being a person. Beginning in chapter five, this text will consider 'elohiym (God) and His role in Creation. The conclusion of that chapter will be as the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 3:1-4. He wrote to let God be true and every person be a liar. In the sixth chapter, the name yhwh 'elohiym (the Lord God) will be discussed. His goodness is forever and ever and from everlasting to everlasting. He is a great God who does many wondrous things for those people who come to Him by faith and who trust in Him. But He is also the yhwh 'elohiym of hosts. That means that He can deliver anyone from any obstacle or from any conflict. God as yhwh 'elohiym also gave the Ten Commandments by which all people can interact with and relate to Him. Following those ...

The heroes of the Bible have come down to us through the centuries as towering figures immortalized in marble and stained glass. But the actual text of the Bible presents a far more complicated, and more encouraging, picture of these Old and New Testament saints. From Moses to Jonah, from Peter to Paul, they were like us in every way. This book tells the other side of the story you got in Sunday school.

Sorcerers of Tibet, The Mystery & Magic by M.G. Hawking 4.5 Stars (8 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

Discover the Profound Secrets of the Ancient Zhang Zhung Art of True Magic. From the very threshold of history to the present day, the remote realm of Tibet has been a fabled land of mystery and magic. Secluded from the rest of the world by its topography and isolated setting on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau -- the highest in the world, with an average elevation of 16,000 feet -- Tibet is home to the forgotten 4000 year-old kingdom of Zhang Zhung, the culture of the original B'on religion. According to their own historical traditions, B'on was founded by the earliest known Buddha-like master, Shenrab Miwoche. Like Siddh?rtha Gautama, our most recent historical Buddha, Shenrab renounced his life as a prince to become a monk, achieved enlightenment, and composed a body of teachings that enable attainment of supreme powers, known as the 'Four Portals.' A group of highly esoteric teachings setting forth the true nature of physical reality and techniques of powerful elemental magic, the 'Four Portals' are of extreme antiquity. The first extant traces of the teachings appear as part of the lore of the Zhang Zhung culture, but they are believed to have originated far earlier. Being an exceedingly restricted body of knowledge, said to convey enormous powers, the teachings disappear from the historical record for some 2600 years, not to reemerge until the 7th century AD in the arcane scriptures of the pre-Buddhist B'on religion in Nepal. The secret teachings of the 'Four Portals' contain enormous amounts of elemental magic, in keeping with their view of the cosmos as a psycho-physical unity, able to be manipulated in heightened states of awareness through clandestine techniques and practices. These highly esoteric teachings are founded on a profound premise: "The Universe is but a mirage which exists in the mind, springs from it, is controlled by it, and sinks into it." To understand this premise in a contemporary context, we may consider the following: "As a man who has ...

My Daily Devotions for Facebook (Volume 1) by James Thomas Lee Jr 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 3 hours ago

To date, I have written four complete daily devotion books. The first one was a general topic devotion book that contains a single devotion for each class that I took at Liberty University when pursuing a Graduate degree in Bible and Pastoral Counseling. The second devotion book contains a daily devotion for many of the people who are talked about in the Bible. So it is a Bible character devotion book. The third devotion book is a daily devotion for every verse in the book of Proverbs. The fascinating thing about that book is that the numerical dates in the devotion book match up with the chapter numbers in the book of Proverbs. Finally, the fourth devotion book is a devotion on the many psalms in the book of Psalms. So for this Facebook (Volume 1) devotion book, I have taken devotions from each of those four devotion books to create this book that will be used for posting daily devotions on Facebook. As such, eighty-eight devotions are from the general topic devotion book. Ninety have been taken from the Bible character devotion book. Sixty-eight are from the Proverbs devotion book. One hundred and eighteen are from the Psalms devotion book. The remaining two are new and not from any of the four books. Now before concluding this Introduction, there is still one more important thing to share. It is that from a spiritual perspective, one might say that all people can be divided into the three groupings of J-O-Y, Y-O-J, or just Y. That being the case, it is the belief of this author that the most content and most satisfied people in all the world are the J-O-Y's. The least content and least satisfied are the Y-O-J's. The unhappiest and most miserable individuals are the Y's. So who are the J-O-Y's, the Y-O-J's, and the Y's? They are the individuals whom Jesus identified in Matthew 22:37-39. Those verses say, "... Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second ...

Ancient Egypt, Extraterrestrial Origins by M.G. Hawking 3.9 Stars (35 Reviews)    Price verified 4 hours ago

Explore the True Origins of a Majestic Civilization. For centuries, devoted scholars have endeavored to penetrate the mystery of Ancient Egypt, the stone-age culture that abruptly rose to create the greatest civilization of known history. Champollion, founder of Egyptology, was the first of a thousand such scholars, living simply in the heat and dust, trying to read for us the riddle of the achievements of a mysterious civilization, to snatch from the secretive soil the science and technology, the art and literature, the history and wisdom of Ancient Egypt. By its side Sumeria's culture was but a crude beginning; not even Greece or Rome would surpass it, far less our own. How did a small community just emerging from a Neolithic stage suddenly generate the most majestic and enduring civilization of the ages? The ascension of Ancient Egypt to a previously unknown zenith of culture lasting thousands of years demonstrated advancements that have long eluded explanation. Where did their unprecedented knowledge and sophistication come from? The voluminous lore of ancient Egyptian tradition relates that in the antediluvian time of zp tpj (generally transcribed as Zep Tepi), the "first occasion" or "first time," mysterious, highly enlightened "gods" appeared in Egypt, bearing previously unknown technology and knowledge. The texts inscribed on the walls of the Temple of Edfu in Upper Egypt contain explicit descriptions of the time of Zep Tepi and the coming of the "bringers of knowledge," recounting their arrival in a "cosmic egg" radiating colored light, bearing the "gods" who brought the gift of civilization to Egypt, the primary of which was Ptah, whose rule, the texts tell us, began circa 18,000 BC. In the Sahara Desert of southern Egypt is an area known as Nabta Playa. Here an ancient stone calendar circle, along with 25 other megalithic structures, was identified by archaeologist Fred Wendorf and his team in 1998. According to an extensive analysis by NASA ...

Donald Trump Destroys Babylon the Great by Will Clark (Motivation Basics) 4.5 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified one hour ago

Who is Babylon the Great? Revelation 17:5 presents a description: "And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots and Abominations of the Earth." This question has been a mystery since Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation two thousand years ago. Some claim Babylon is the Vatican. They even write that the Pope as head of that religion is the prophesied Antichrist. Still many others write that the United States will become that prophesied Babylon with her fall from grace and economics; which will lead to degradation and turning from God in despair. Throughout history many have offered a definition of this Babylon; but in vain. The mystery of this question could not have been solved until our current generation. Now that answer is 'crystal clear' as prophesied in Revelation 4:6. The mystery is solved in the verse following the one describing Mystery Babylon. Verse 6 continues: "And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus." Only two religions are described as women in Revelation. One is Christianity. The other is represented by Babylon the Great; the whore that sits upon the scarlet colored beast. Babylon is revealed. She still rides that scarlet colored beast called Satan; and she still delights in destroying Christians and anything related to the Grace of God. Yes; Babylon is that religion; and she is hell-bound to create such havoc and chaos on earth until that Great War erupts. But even with her great strength given by Satan she will be defeated and totally annihilated as praised by an angel in Chapter 18: "Babylon the Great is fallen, is fallen!" God's forces will win that Great Battle as described in Chapter 9. That battle will begin when the fifth angel sounds the fifth trumpet. God's forces will be led by a king, 'the angel of the bottomless pit' whose name in Greek is Apollyon. This is described as 'Destroyer.' Could the sound of the fifth ...

The Monk & The Skunk: Do Animals go to Heaven? by John Regan 5.0 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 54 minutes ago

For thousands of years, humanity has struggled with the question, 'Do animals go to Heaven'? Pet lovers especially; long to know if their beloved pets will join them in paradise. In this treasure of a book, Aroma the Skunk asks Father Charlie the guitar playing Monk that very same question. His answer, and the ensuing drama, propels us into the daily lives of the animal kingdom for a firsthand look at what life as an animal is really like. The striking similarity between their life experiences and ours is breathtaking. They hope and dream, love and forgive, fear and tremble. In the opening scene we discover that Aroma has a problem and eventually convinces Father Charlie to counsel him, and a friend, who live near Charlie's monastery in the Italian countryside. As word spreads throughout the valley, Father Charlie is joined by several of his fellow monks as hundreds of animals converge on the monastery for counseling. The monks are amazed to find that the animals present with the same problems and interpersonal relationships that humans experience. And their curiosity about their eternal welfare, and their distrust of humans, takes center stage throughout the story. Charlie and his confreres counsel the animals individually, teaching them to love and forgive one another, so as to live in peace. Many powerful and moving scenes cause the reader to laugh, cry, cheer, and applaud, as this fast moving drama compels the reader to turn page after page. No one who finishes this story will walk away unchanged. Their love for our animal brothers and sisters will increase dramatically and cause them to encourage others to behave likewise. The truth that animals are the creation of our loving God and deserve the same love and respect that we offer to one another is reinforced again and again. Much of what fills the pages of this exciting story has not been revealed in this brief description; but rest assured, as the story races to the finish, the ending will shock and surprise ...

CAKEWALK: A Novel (The Cake Series) by Douglas Bell (Bumbershoot Press) 4.3 Stars (26 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

"Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. Yes, I gave this book a six-star rating out of a possible five. Where to even begin with how much I loved this book." Goodreads Reviewer, Transgender Bookworm Die-hard traditional Texas is the backdrop where success and nonconformity cannot coexist for Bryan Hicks, an African-American divorced father of two kids, Lindsey, the athletic golden child, and Lance, the unorthodox queer thespian. Bryan's mother loves bragging to her high-society girlfriends about Bryan's accomplishments and promotion to VP at a large multinational oil/gas company. Bryan vigorously steers clear of conversations with his mother about who he is dating because Bryan has been secretly dating Nadia, a transgender woman. Cakewalk is contemporary fiction based on Douglas Bell's past experiences. Bell speaks from an African-American heteronormative (privileged) cisgender voice to candidly expose the trauma of transphobia and homophobia. Bell wants to humanize the struggle of trans women to live on their terms. Bell asks us to believe in ourselves, trust in ourselves, and don't let society define who you are. There is enough courage within you to be the person you want to be. Editorial Reviews Goodreads Reviewer, Erikka I must say this book absolutely had me by the first chapter. Each character represented someone i have have met or known and truly had me hooked. The fact that as I dove deeper into each page it was as if I was watching a movie of so many lives play out right before me. This up and coming author has truly snatched my attention and made me reflect on the perspectives of others as well as the symbolism throughout this read. If you want to laugh, cry, feel anger, empathy, and reflection on how and who you are as well as get a little hot and heavy this is definitely the right book for you. Step into a world you may have never known existed and watch the similarities of what all humans long for no matter the pronoun.

The Nourished Soul: Nurturing Your Mind to Grow Unending Health and Happiness by Paul Gautschi 5.0 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

"Whether you think you can, or you think you can't -- you're right." ? Henry Ford "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." ? Hebrews 11:1 NKJV If these two quotes are accurate and most would agree that they are, then what is blocking many broken souls from enjoying the richness of vibrant health and happiness? Is it their belief systems or patterns of thinking? Often, the answer is yes. During all your years of schooling, were you ever offered a course on developing thinking patterns that would enable you to live in a state of health and happiness? It is here now. Built upon the dual foundations of Scripture and Neural Science, the collected expertise unveiled upon the following pages took nearly thirty years to decipher, test, and assemble. Although this book came through two different men, the content is inspired by one Source; our great God of love. This book is not about eliminating every struggle and trial in your life but enlisting both the good and the challenging events to empower upward growth. Your soul is a garden. You harvest what you plant, germinate, nourish, and grow. "The fruit of God's Spirit is, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Galatians 5:22-23 These are the crops that will enrich your life and enable you to prosper during the good, the bad, and the ugly experiences of your earth-bound journey. Your faith will grow firmly in the Spirit's soil of power, love, and self-discipline. Especially amidst the pains and struggles that come your way in this life's once-in-forever opportunity. The great news is that life on earth provides many necessary difficulties. These you will come to know as health enabling vehicles. As Carl Jung, the founder of analytical psychology, declared, "Man needs difficulties; they are necessary for health." Remember, this is your journey. Only you can make your journey a glorious revelation of the love that heals. ...

Talking About Henry: A guide to achieving your goals and dreams by David Evans Price verified 3 hours ago

Talking about Henry is about achieving your goals and dreams. It's about helping you get there, helping you to open up to the opportunities around you, and helping you to overcome the obstacles in your path. At the heart of the book I have identified six guiding principles you can apply on your journey. Henry, in this case, is Henry VIII. For many years I had dreamed of transforming a very simple musical version of Henry's life into something more professional, and in 2013 I achieved this dream. I released an album and had it performed at The National Portrait Gallery, London. This book describes my journey and how the principles came in to play as the journey progressed. Although the album was performed a few years ago, everything in the book continues to be relevant and always will be. My aim for this book is to motivate you and encourage you to achieve your goal and your dream. Read my story and find out how these guiding principles made the difference between moving forward or coming to a complete standstill.

American Presidents And God: Presidents That Have Helped USA by Christopher Roberts 3.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 3 hours ago

This book has been written to give you a taste of the kind of people who have held the office of the President of the United States of America in times gone by. Particularly this book will investigate the religious and Christian views of past presidents to discover whether or not they left a lasting legacy for future presidents to follow. I have also deliberately restricted the research of this book to a time period of about 132 years, between George Washington, who took office in 1789 to Woodrow Wilson, who left office just after World War I in 1921. This helps to avoid repetitiveness if we were to consider presidents from a wider timescale. In order to decide who would be eligible for inclusion in this book, I set up a three-prong test, which is highlighted in more detail in chapter one. Finally, this book has been written to help inform you about the kind of president you would like to see governing the United States from the Oval Office in the future; particularly if you want to base your decision-making, during election times, on the life and experiences of past presidents.

Breaking the Vicious Circle: How to Beat Procrastination, Skyrocket Your Productivity, and Finally Get Things Done by Tomas Walter 4.7 Stars (11 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

As tough as it may sound, procrastination is the 'plague' of performance. It's the main reason why our productivity goes down the drain while our to-do list gets bigger and bigger until we can no longer tolerate the pressure of everyday activities. But you're not alone because thousands of people across the globe are struggling with the same problem as we speak. While some of them are actively fighting to keep procrastination in check, others are not even aware of their problem. The good news is you are among the lucky or smart ones who've realized they have a problem. The mere fact that you've decided to give this book a try means you're already determined to overcome this obnoxious behavior that has interfered with your daily business for too long. This book is a collection of scientifically-accurate techniques that will help you explore the roots of your procrastination tendencies, challenge the negative self-talk that's keeping you from being productive, find the 'right' motivation to keep you on track and, of course, implement a set of habits that will keep procrastination at bay. The content is inspired by techniques used by psychologists and other mental health professionals from all over the world. However, we've decided to opt for a friendly, conversational tone that will appeal to both 'Psychology geeks' and laymen as well. Also, most people who struggle with procrastination are constantly looking for excuses to avoid anything that might help them. In other words, a 'technical' book might be interpreted as 'too difficult', thus prompting you to put it away as soon as this intro part is over. But since our book is neither difficult nor time-consuming, there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't give it a try. Who knows? Maybe you'll finally manage to get rid of this giant productivity killer. Although the inner-workings of this counterproductive behavior have been explored in countless books and articles, and some strategies have been ...

Becoming a Christian and Living a Blessed Life by James Thomas Lee Jr 1.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 6 hours ago

This text has been written as a way for this author to cope with the stay-at-home orders that have been put into place for the currently ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But that does not take away from the topics that have been discussed. It has actually given this author the opportunity to write one more book about the two things that are most important in this existence. The first is becoming a Christian or getting saved. The second is living the life that the Lord wants the saved individual to live. It is believed that sharing the gospel with others and encouraging them to get saved, too, is the most important thing that any saint of God can do. Therefore, the first six chapters of this text talk about how the Old Testament saints had probably gotten saved. Jesus had not yet been incarnated. He had not yet died on the cross to pay the sin debt for the people of this world. So it is very fascinating to try to understand what they had understood and then to see how they had used that information. The second part of this text tackles the second most important thing in this life. It deals with how an individual, once saved by Christ and indwelled by the Holy Spirit, can live a blessed life. Everyone wants to be happy. Everyone wants to enjoy good things. Everyone wants to feel important. So the second part of this text will attempt to show how all of those things can be done. It will discuss specific things that a person can do to live a blessed life. Those things will be called behaviors. Then it will discuss certain ways that a person should feel to live a blessed life. Those ways will be called attitudes. It will bundle all of those behaviors and attitudes together in a wrapper of praise and worship and then end by identifying some of the benefits that one can enjoy by being saved and by living a blessed life.Every book that I have ever written, including this one, has always been written with the goals of honoring the Lord and of sharing Bible truth with others. It ...

Listening to music, walking or settling down with a cup of coffee or tea are other ways to relax, however, researchers found that reading does more. In our fast-paced lifestyle, we could not find enough time to do the things that must be done, let alone reading books. With this, we can barely see people who are reading books, most are reading fictions and stories of popular movies which were re-written, and people who are reading motivational books are rare. And because of this, most of us to do not know the benefits that we can get by reading inspiring and motivational stories. One of the benefits that we can get from reading motivational stories, is, it teaches us or reminds us on the right attitude to take. It may seem just simple, but all of us need a good advice now and then. Sometimes in the middle of stressful challenges even highly intelligent people fail to respond correctly. Crushed, An Amazing True Story of Determination and Survival by Kathryn Mann 4.1 Stars (533 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

The accident left sixty-six year old Bob Peterson fighting for his life on an isolated farm lane. Crushed and left with broken ribs, a punctured lung, and compression fractures in his chest, spine, and pelvis, Bob pushed his arms forward, dug his fingers into the freezing mud and dragged his mostly paralyzed body forward. Saturated to the skin in freezing rain, far from help, and with the night fast approaching, Bob refused to give up. This includes photographs, documentation, and inspirational verses. This amazing true story was featured on the It's a Miracle series hosted by Richard Thomas. It aired on PAX Television as Chain Reaction in 1999.

Objects Sacred and Profane: A Book of Revelations by Steffy Sota (Numeracy Press) Price verified 3 hours ago

The core concept of religion is dualism: good versus evil, morality versus immorality, God versus Devil, sin versus grace, Heaven versus Hell, life versus afterlife, life versus death, and the sacred versus the profane. The core concept of a true monotheism is ambiguity. The same force that provides benevolence also provides torment. Ambiguity is the synthesis of thesis and antithesis. The key to true monotheism is the primacy of perception. In Objects Sacred and Profane, Steffy Sota explores the concept of ambiguity in religion. The result is a new way of looking at the world. Steffy Sota is the Woodward Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Liberal Studies at Olinger University. Professor Sota is the author of over 30 articles on the philosophers of the Twentieth Century and is the author of Living and Dying by the Numbers, Faucian Dystopias, The Multiverse, The Christian Zionist, and Who Is the True Knight of Faith? Professor Sota won the Best Instructor award for 2020 at Olinger University.

The Final Catastrophic Events on Earth: Are You Ready? by Kerry Schoonmaker 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 6 hours ago

Understanding Biblical Prophecies by allowing the Bible to interpret itself, instead of the false private speculative interpretations utilized throughout Christianity today, is extremely important as we approach the end of this world. When Jesus came to earth during the first century there were a lot of false prophecies floating around Jerusalem concerning the Messiah and how He would come to this planet. Through those private speculative interpretations, the majority of the Jewish people were led to believe that He would come to earth as a king to set up His kingdom and rule the Romans. The leaders wanted the overthrow of the Roman government and applied prophecies that actually pertained to a later coming of Christ to His first coming to establish this prophetic belief. When Jesus didn't come as the Jewish leadership expected, the vast majority of the Jewish people rejected Jesus as the Messiah and then had the Romans crucify their own Savior, all due to incorrect interpretation of Bible prophecy. Out of the thousands that knew about Him and learned of Him there were only 120 people in the upper room at Pentecost that followed Him due to what would today be called denominational prejudice. The overwhelming majority followed the false prophecies promoted by the Jewish leadership. In fact, the vast majority have never been correct. Think of the times of Noah, Lot, Elijah, Moses, Daniel, Ezekiel, Jonah, etc. This same scenario will take place as Jesus comes the second time. To a great extent the majority will be incorrect, will have followed the false prophecies of their leaders, and lost their way. We therefore must be really careful with Bible prophecy to make sure it is interpreted correctly as we approach the end of this world. The correct interpretation comes from the Bible and the Bible only, not private speculative interpretations. As we allow the Bible to interpret itself, we will come to the correct conclusions regarding the questions that are asked ...

The Obama-Hillary Horror Show by Will Clark (Motivation Basics) 4.0 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 55 minutes ago

How could prophesied horror happen to our world in the near future? Barack Obama, as the False Prophet, has paved the way for Iran and other Islamic nations to attack Israel. He has endowed them with time, opportunity, and money to facilitate their horrible scheme. He recently gave Iran almost two billion dollars to fund their ungodly activities. Hillary Clinton in her role as ambitious facilitator has also helped strengthen Iran's zeal to create biblical havoc in our world. What horror could the actions and words of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton cause for citizens of the United States and the whole world? Words from Matthew, Chapter 24 give a strong clue of horrible results that might occur from their activities. Those words start in verse 19: "And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened." How could this prophesied horror happen in the near future? Barack Obama, as the False Prophet, has paved the way for Iran and other Islamic nations to attack Israel. He has endowed them with time, opportunity, and money to facilitate their horrible scheme. He recently gave Iran almost two billion dollars to fund their ungodly activities. As the False Prophet of Revelation, Chapter 13, he claims to be a Christian but all his actions, deeds, and words support only that beast, Islam. Even the Iran Nuclear Deal is a time prelude to that attack; which will come 'In the midst of that covenant by many.' This means that Great attack might begin within three and a half years after that Iran Nuclear Deal was approved. Already Iran is challenging and testing our military resolve in the air and on the sea with ...

Distress of Souls: Yet Trouble Came by Joseph Dulmage 4.7 Stars (5 Reviews)    Price verified 6 hours ago

Pain is real. Whether it's physical, psychological, emotional, or spiritual, suffering is a human condition, and its purpose is a human question. In Distress of Souls, author Joseph Dulmage pulls from his years of experience as a prison chaplain to take a deep look at coping with pain and searching for meaning while in the midst of it. Tackling difficult areas including addiction, alcoholism, divorce, suicide, backsliding, the death of children, and heaven, this remarkable resource presents a compassionate and biblical treatise on sorrow and anguish. Dulmage divides the book into three parts titled "Distress of Souls," "Divorce and Remarriage," and "Approaching Adventure" to encourage Christians and non-Christians alike about what the Bible has to say about life's troubles, the hope we can find within difficult times, and the reality of an actual heaven beyond the grave. In the vein of Harold Kushner's When Bad Things Happen to Good People, this extraordinary book shows how we can appeal to God for help in the midst of turmoil and seize those scriptures declaring that the Lord delivers us from them all.

The Judaisms of Jesus’ Followers: An Introduction to Early Christianity in its Jewish Context by Dr. Juan Marcos Bejarano-Gutierrez (Yaron Publishing) 4.2 Stars (190 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

The Jewish sect which ascribed Jesus the title of Messiah was eventually transformed into a non-Jewish movement wholly separated from its Jewish context. The transformation was not instantaneous, and there were deviating or at the least parallel streams of Jesus supporters early on. A critical mistake which has been made, in my opinion, is the assumption that the Jesus movement was uniform even among its early Jewish followers. Analyzing the original movement(s) in the first centuries of the Common Era can reveal how the schism between Judaism and Christianity evolved. This book explores the fascinating world of Jewish life in the Second Temple Era and the Jewish groups that endorsed Jesus' messianic claims.

One Page at a Time: Daily Spiritual Growth in Recovery by Paul Kocak 4.5 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 55 minutes ago

The slogan "Turn It Over" has a rich and powerful history in the annals of recovery. Loosely translated -- if any translating is needed -- it means: put your problem, addiction, disease, or life itself in the hands of Someone or Something Other Than Yourself. (Lowercase all of that if you prefer.) This someone or something doesn't require a name. It doesn't need a credo or a belief system. All it needs is practice. Your practice. Now take the concept of Turn It Over, and transfer it to the printed page. Turn It Over becomes Turn the Page. Select any page at random here and read the brief commentary. Consider the concept or notion as food for thought -- and action. Or use a page each week in a group setting. The possibilities are endless. This compilation is not for everyone. Some in the recovery community will object, declaring, "I have all I need in the approved literature." We have no quibble with that view. These pages draw upon received wisdom acquired by thousands of recovering people over the course of many decades. The notions expressed here are merely suggestions and make no claim to being original in their musings. They reflect a perspective that invites others to craft their own vantage point or angle of vision. They are a supplement rather than a substitute; discursive rather than subversive. You are invited to add this book to your spiritual toolkit.

The Living Part of a Legend - Vol. 1 - An Encounter of the Most Profound Kind by M.G. Hawking 4.7 Stars (5 Reviews)    Price verified one hour ago

Explore a Fabled Lost World of Knowledge and Power. Legends are the relics of a shipwreck; far more of the secrets of the past have been lost than preserved. Accounts of what truly exists in our world began long after the realities had faded from human memory -- legends arose to preserve those realities. Explore the secrets underlying one of the greatest of all ancient legends, that of a hidden society of highly enlightened masters living deep in the majestic Himalayan Mountains, revealing knowledge that for long millenniums has remained hidden under the most intense silence. On an extended trek in that vast wilderness, explorer M.G. Hawking encountered a tiny village nestled below massive ice peaks, a village called Siddhalaya. There he had the privilege of meeting extraordinary men and women -- introduced to him as "masters" and "adepts" -- possessed of knowledge and powers virtually unknown to the Western world. Transcribed directly from the archived journals and field notes of Hawking's five years in the Himalayan regions of Nepal and Tibet, in this book you'll discover detailed narratives of Hawking's experiences and conversations with true masters and sages, read first-hand accounts of the psychokinetic abilities he witnessed and explore in-depth descriptions of the esoteric knowledge that make such extraordinary abilities possible. Richly enlightening and inspirational, this book is an incomparable read for anyone on a spiritual path or seeking greatly expanded knowledge and personal power. GOD IS SPEAKING 2 (THE BIBLE, PROPHETS & PREACHERS) is the second book of a three-part series describing what God has spoken to us through His word, the Bible. The Bible which He has provided for us is the main way in which God communicates His special message to the people He has created. Historically, God has used chosen men (Prophets & Preachers) to preach and interpret His word to us. It is vital to us that we learn to take in the word of God as our daily spiritual food, through reading and through hearing these chosen men of God preach and teach to us from His word.

The First Apprentice by Paul Owens 4.5 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

NEW 4th EDITION with the addition of "JUST SUPPOSE THAT THE BIBLE IS NOT TRUE". Have you ever read the Bible? This conversation between a Father and his Son is offered to encourage everyone to do so. It adds one more analysis to a lengthy list of commentaries, all in a vain attempt to explain the Bible, and God's love. Each commentary is but an opinion given as comments about, or an explanation of certain subjects or events. Whether you have read the Bible, or not, your opinion of it is presented to the world by the way you live, but an accurate opinion is based on knowledge. This dialogue is one simple man's answers, presented in a way to challenge, and with the hope they will inspire you to read the Bible and ultimately to reach your own conclusions. For it is up to each person to work out their own salvation. This little book is made available in the hope that it may encourage someone to read the Bible for the first time, and for others to delve deeper into God's word. If for no other reason than to prove me wrong.

Overcoming the Powers of Darkness: -Using God's Spiritual Armor by Thomas Bear 4.6 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

It is the goal of our enemy to lull us into an apathetic, lukewarm spiritual existence. To obtain the abundant life, we cannot sit back passively and wait for God to spiritually zap us. We must engage in spiritual battle. In his epistle to the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul used imagery of a soldier's armor. Some have suggested that we engage in spiritual battle by mentioning the various pieces of this armor in a daily prayer. This is not true. Paul was teaching about spiritual principles that we must employ as a way of life. This book examines these spiritual principles and provides strong exhortation to increase our desire to live the abundant life that Jesus offers to us.

Why I Believe in a Pre-Tribulation Rapture: Thirteen Chapters on Why a Pre-Tribulation, Pre-Millennial Rapture of the Church Age Saints is the Best ... by Paul McCarty 4.6 Stars (16 Reviews)    Price verified 4 hours ago

Are you confused about end time events? Are you concerned about what the future holds? Are you tired of ministries that use Bible prophecy as a money making scheme instead of simply proclaiming the truth of God's Word? If you could purchase just one book that has never missed on predicting a future event would you buy it? Approximately 30% of the Bible is unfulfilled prophecy - future events that are going to come to pass just as they are predicted. Every single prophecy about the first coming of the LORD Jesus Christ was fulfilled literally - therefore why do we doubt that the prophecies concerning His second coming will also be fulfilled literally? In this non-copyrighted book you have thirteen riveting chapters, quoting hundreds of Bible verses about the soon rapture of the church age saints and the tribulation events that follow on the earth. The contents of this book involved over a decade of research along with much prayer for the leadership of the Holy Spirit. There was not one particular author or teacher blindly followed when writing this book, but everything was weighed with the Holy Scriptures and this book even goes against the main-stream interpretation at times. It is said that the LORD Jesus Christ literally fulfilled 108 specific prophecies with His first coming over 2000 years ago. The chances of just one man fulfilling only eight of these prophecies is astronomical-one in ten to the 21st power. The Bible is the future already written, but most people dismiss it or use allegory/symbolism to explain away its clear teachings. If you want to learn more about the truth of the rapture and related future events, I encourage you to purchase this book. It is a quick read at right at 110 full size pages, but has much scripture and links that provide a treasure chest of information wealth. It will motivate you to read the Bible for yourself and have confidence in "Thus Saith the LORD". See the short excerpt below: "Revelation allows the careful ...

The Devil's Mistake: From Occultist To Christian by Eira Wulfnothsson 5.0 Stars (4 Reviews)    Price verified 54 minutes ago

"THE BEST WAY TO FIGHT EVIL IS TO FIRST UNDERSTAND IT." The Devil's Mistake is a dissertation on Evil and Magicka; their ancient origins, how they are at work in the world and how to inoculate yourself against them. The work is written through the eyes of a life-long practicing occultist who became a devoted Roman Catholic after a mystical experience with Mary, Mother of God. Within the manuscript the author illuminates a vast array of metaphysical topics based on her classical occult education in order to assist Christians in identifying the many occult rituals worked against them via the media, political and public ceremonies, as well as staged catastrophic events. These "rituals," or operations within a system of Magicka, are performed in order to blind, influence and control humanity; clarity is given to the elite Luciferian mind and agenda. Also, readers will learn the crucial reason their consent is always required when evil is worked against them, what that looks like, and the "who" that requires it and "why." The author also addresses the ever-changing UFO/UAP narrative demonstrating that this phenomenon identifies more as classical fallen angel activity than advanced terrestrial or alleged extraterrestrial technology. Readers will also be given understanding regarding "places of power" used since the beginning of time by ancient magicians and sorcerers to bring "these gods" (fallen angels) into our world physically and why 100 percent of our world-wide sacred sites are built upon them based on both the physical and metaphysical sciences. Lastly, readers will come to understand how God is always at work to counter these evils, why He sometimes allows them, and how we've been called to assist Him within this great battle of good versus evil. A battle, in fact, that was already won over two thousand years ago.
