Far Haven: A Quest for Certitude. A Fight for Justice. (The Windflower Saga Book 3) by Aleksandra Layland 5.0 Stars (4 Reviews)    Price verified 29 minutes ago

Part III of the inspirational epic fantasy Windflower Saga trilogy, Far Haven is set in a time not now and in a world not of our own. Far Haven is the main content of The Far Haven Treasury, which was a medalist in the Florida Authors and Publishers Association President's Book Awards. Centuries have passed since the Kingdom of Kimbria became a crowned republic. Peace and prosperity foster its entrance into an age of scientific discovery and early industrial development. Even so, pirates and crime rings continue to operate throughout the region, and injustice still rears its ugly head. A man sick in body, mind, and spirit stands on the deck of a steamship approaching the southern coast of Kimbria. He's traveled far to come here. Disgraced and dishonored in his own homeland, convicted of a crime he can't even remember, he's lost any hope in his future. All he can think of now is silencing the screams he hears in the nightmares that disturb his sleep. Married by proxy and in name only to a widow he's never met, exiled from all he holds dear, he can't imagine that the rugged cliffs before him might lead the way to love, healing, and justice.

What To Do Until Christ Comes: Five Ways to Get Ready for His Soon Return by Dale Johnsen 4.8 Stars (5 Reviews)    Price verified 35 minutes ago

God's prophetic clock is ticking like a time-bomb. Prophetic signs of Christ's return are increasing in frequency and intensity around the globe: *Israel is reborn as a nation and Jerusalem has become the center focus of world attention. *Russia and Islamic nations are forming close alliances that threaten Israel's security. *World economies are uniting through global digital networking on the World Wide Web. *World governments are uniting under the European Union and the United Nations. *World religions are uniting to embrace the concept that there is no absolute truth. Most books on futuristic themes neglect the practical issue of "what should I do?" as I wait for Christ to return. This book will fill that void by speaking biblical application directly to your heart. This book focuses on the five commands from God's Word that directly apply to our Christian lives in these final, last days before Christ returns. They can be summarized by five W's: Watch Witness Worship Walk Work By understanding these five final commands, you can prepare for Christ's return with a healthy, holy sense of urgency, but without any weirdness or fanaticism. You will learn how to embrace a life of discipleship that will result in an abundance of eternal rewards in heaven This book is for you if: * you expect Jesus Christ to return to earth very soon, and * you want to clearly understand God's will for your life before Christ comes. This book has one purpose. It explains to Christians the five most important issues that God wants you, the Bride of Christ, to focus on while you wait for your Bridegroom to come and take you home. It teaches you, in extremely practical terms, how to get ready for Christ's return. Jesus says in Matthew 24:44, "So you also must be ready because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him." But, you ask, how? 2 Peter 3:11-12 asks this question plainly, "what kind of people ought you to be... as you look forward to ...

Pathways to Belonging: Creating Inclusive Ministry Environments for All Ages (The Irresistible Church Series) by Debbie Lillo 4.6 Stars (18 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

Do you want your church to be a place of belonging? Do you want your church to be Irresistible? An Irresistible Church is an authentic community built on the hope of Christ that compels people affected by disability to fully belong. Church leaders with a heart to serve families affected by disability frequently ask, "How do I know the best way to include each special friend when their needs vary?" This book is a response to that question, offering step-by-step tools for evaluating the needs of friends with disabilities and creating a culture that welcomes these individuals and their families. Within these pages, we discuss creating accessible environments that provide access to the Gospel while being sensitive to learning styles and physical needs. The Irresistible Church movement seeks to build relationships rather than programs. By creating inclusive environments churches help individuals affected by disability discover and practice the gifts God has given them while fostering a culture of authentic relationships.

Contemplations: A Different Path To The Sacred by Aenga Besceawung 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 29 minutes ago

Contemplations is a radical departure from mainstream thought on matters of culture, religion, and philosophy for the simple reason that it offers to one who chooses to see as I have seen, an experiential, open, and earnest path to the Sacred in this time of spiritual deception, blind grasping for purchase on purpose, and chronic longing for a crumb of dignity and for a taste of meaning in life. Set your expectations from the beginning: Contemplations is not an instruction manual to health, wealth, and happiness. It does not moralize at you or wield the whip of shame to force you to conform. It will not give you the means to unlock mysterious or ethereal magic of ancients as all such things are lures for the simple, crutches for the foolish, and deceit for the gullible. Contemplations earnestly offers another path based upon experience and observation. It avails you of the choice to benefit from what you will build upon its teachings within your life rather than to be bound to only what is approved. It leads to a path of your own should you choose to make it so.

A Complete Overview of the Book of Revelation by James Thomas Lee Jr 5.0 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 29 minutes ago

The book of Revelation is a very interesting book. With its various symbols, characters, and colorful language, it is also a very complicated book. But it is well worth studying to try to understand the future events of this world. In the pages that follow, the four main approaches that scholars have used for understanding the book of Revelation will be identified. They are the Preterist view, the Historical view, the Allegorical view, and the Futurist view. This text uses the Futurist view, which attempts to apply a literal interpretation whenever possible. This text will also identify seven Bible passages that support a literal eschatology and nine Bible passages that support a pre-Tribulation view of the Rapture. That means that the events being discussed should really happen rather than just make for a good story. Early in the text, the seven letters to the seven churches will be discussed. After that, things will get down to looking at the rest of the book. The seven seal judgments, the seven trumpet judgments, and the seven vial judgments will be discussed. The one hundred and forty-four thousand Jewish servants will be discussed. The two witnesses will be discussed. The rise of the Antichrist and the False Prophet will be discussed. The Satanic Trinity will be discussed. The mark of the beast will be discussed. An Executive Summary, which seems to be used in the middle of the book of Revelation, will be discussed. Then as the text makes its way to the final chapters, the fall of Babylon, the battle of Armageddon, and the battle of Gog will be discussed. Finally, the white throne judgment, the new heaven and earth, the casting of the Satanic Trinity into the lake of fire, and the new Jerusalem will be discussed. This text will end in Revelation chapter twenty-two with the saints of God in heaven. There is one note, however, to be made with respect to the organization of this text. Throughout its pages, charts have been provided to help put the events of the ...

The Beast of Bear-tooth Mountain (The Bear-tooth Mountain Archive Book 1) by Michael John Petty 5.0 Stars (6 Reviews)    Price verified one hour ago

"The firm lines between man and monster may be clear in the light, but under the cover of darkness, they become nearly indistinguishable." For years, Jordan and Deon had only one goal: to successfully hike up Bear-tooth Mountain. Its crooked, snow-capped peak had eluded them for years, but all that was soon to change. After embarking on their journey, the pair discovers something dark hiding up on the mountain, something they wish they hadn't ever found. Strange sounds, horrific legends, and an eerie warning from a crazed preacher are only the beginning of this spiritual thriller, which threatens to rip out our heroes' souls and eat their hearts alive. Somewhere between a short story and a novella, Michael John Petty's debut literary work, The Beast of Bear-tooth Mountain, is a fantastical tale that pulls from ancient history, native folklore, and the tales of old to challenge everything you thought you knew about what makes its home deep in the shadows. So, come and climb the mountain if you dare. You won't make it back unscathed, that is if you make it back at all. See What People Are Saying... "... It is seriously thrilling! It's definitely not a cozy stroll up a mountain for the faint of heart." - Elicia Johnson, author of the upcoming Between Yesterday & Tomorrow.

G.O. F.I.S.H. A General Outreach & Free Interpretation of the Sayings and Hymns by Kimberly M. Hartfield (Go Fish Ministries, Inc.) 1.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 2 hours ago

This Go Fish Ministries publication is a paraphrase of the Proverbs and Psalms (Sayings and Hymns). Its main purpose is to present a simplified version to those who have difficulty understanding more traditional ones, especially children and teens. My inspiration was to give my own children a more understandable, easier to read text, and one that would encourage them and other young people to read the Word of God. Many Biblical versions were considered in the interpretation of this version, in which the starting point was the original King James Version. Other versions considered were the New King James Version, the Good News Bible, the Living Bible, the American Standard Version, the Revised Standard Version, and others, along with a study of many of the original Hebrew words from the Strong's Concordance and Dictionary. The main departure from these common versions is the use of the proper Name of God, which is now commonly understood to be Yahweh.

Fixed Marriage: A Cozy Mini Mystery (OverRuled Book 7) by Jwyan C. Johnson (Image Reflections) Price verified 6 hours ago

After a 'fixed marriage' breaks, a custody battle rages between pastors for God's children. But was the divorce itself 'in the best interest of the child?' It's another 'street fight on a chessboard' with The Jury Whisperer and the courtroom war king defending the controversial leader of Sheep in Wolf's Clothing. 'All rise' as temptation itself judges how a Bible Trivia event escalated to physical fights, subliminal threats, lamb-pranks, and even a spiritual restraining order! Will wisdom itself object to public opinion? And will a new parable 'break the spell' of an invisible bondage? It's a whodunit range of Christian Hart, Farah Seas, Nico, Alpha, Smart Alec, Goody Two-Shoes, a 'fashion police' judge, and many more. Fixed Marriage animates the political traffic of true redemption and Apologizeaphobia's Cure. * This book is a spinoff of new Christian Parables books 1 and 2 by the same author.

From the Heart: A Teen's Bible Study about Developing a Heart That Obeys God's Will by Marla Daley 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 29 minutes ago

"From the Heart" is a Bible study program on the topic of obedience, with two separate books designed for children and teens, that allows families to study God's word together. Both books cover the same topics, but they are tailored to different age groups with age-appropriate wording, questions, and answers. From the Heart - A Child's Bible Study about Developing a Heart That Obeys God's Will was created for children ages 7-12 From the Heart - A Teen's Bible Study about Developing a Heart That Obeys God's Will was created for children ages 13+ This teen study is designed for children ages 13+ and is structured in such a way that it gradually expands on different dimensions of obedience each day. It is recommended that you allow your teen to complete the study independently. You can then review their daily work, discuss any talking points, and provide additional guidance as necessary. Bible verses referenced use the NIV translation. This bible study is a consumable resource; if you are having multiple children complete it you will need a separate book for each child. Do your children struggle with obedience? Do they often argue or make excuses for their behavior? Are you constantly having to remind them to complete tasks? Or perhaps they do what you ask, but with a disrespectful attitude or only halfway. As parents, it is important to require obedience from our children, but it is equally important to teach them WHY obedience is crucial in their Christian life. When they understand the deeper meaning of obedience and how it is connected to their personal relationship with God, they will begin to WANT to obey and find joy in it. Children will learn: ?What biblical obedience really means ?Who they need to obey ?Why they need to obey ?How to obey right away ?How to obey in a way that shows that they trust God ?How to obey all the way ?How to obey with a happy heart ?About Jesus' example for us ?What obedience shows to God and others ?That actions speak louder than ...

Learning about God from His Attributes and Names by James Thomas Lee Jr 4.8 Stars (7 Reviews)    Price verified 6 hours ago

The Hebrew word, 'elohiym, for "God" was used at least two thousand six hundred and six times in the Old Testament. Its first use in the scriptures was in Genesis 1:1. The Hebrew word, yhwh, for "LORD" was used six thousand five hundred and nineteen times in the Old Testament. Its first use in the scriptures was in Genesis 2:4-5. Those two Hebrew words when put together become yhwh 'elohiym and form the expression "LORD God." That combination appears five hundred and nineteen times in the Old Testament. But each of those words was also used separately throughout the scriptures with other combinations of words to describe different, unique characteristics about the Lord. Many of those characteristics or names will be discussed beginning with chapter four of this text. But the first three chapters will describe some of God's more significant personal attributes. Among them will be His omnipotence, His omniscience, and His omnipresence. Other personal attributes are that He is a person and personal. He is also love, truth, holy, righteous, gracious, merciful, longsuffering, good, and eternal. But while those attributes do not relate directly to His names, they do provide a very useful introduction to His nature and to His being a person. Beginning in chapter five, this text will consider 'elohiym (God) and His role in Creation. The conclusion of that chapter will be as the Apostle Paul wrote in Romans 3:1-4. He wrote to let God be true and every person be a liar. In the sixth chapter, the name yhwh 'elohiym (the Lord God) will be discussed. His goodness is forever and ever and from everlasting to everlasting. He is a great God who does many wondrous things for those people who come to Him by faith and who trust in Him. But He is also the yhwh 'elohiym of hosts. That means that He can deliver anyone from any obstacle or from any conflict. God as yhwh 'elohiym also gave the Ten Commandments by which all people can interact with and relate to Him. Following those ...

Sorcerers of Tibet, The Mystery & Magic by M.G. Hawking 4.5 Stars (8 Reviews)    Price verified 44 minutes ago

Discover the Profound Secrets of the Ancient Zhang Zhung Art of True Magic. From the very threshold of history to the present day, the remote realm of Tibet has been a fabled land of mystery and magic. Secluded from the rest of the world by its topography and isolated setting on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau -- the highest in the world, with an average elevation of 16,000 feet -- Tibet is home to the forgotten 4000 year-old kingdom of Zhang Zhung, the culture of the original B'on religion. According to their own historical traditions, B'on was founded by the earliest known Buddha-like master, Shenrab Miwoche. Like Siddh?rtha Gautama, our most recent historical Buddha, Shenrab renounced his life as a prince to become a monk, achieved enlightenment, and composed a body of teachings that enable attainment of supreme powers, known as the 'Four Portals.' A group of highly esoteric teachings setting forth the true nature of physical reality and techniques of powerful elemental magic, the 'Four Portals' are of extreme antiquity. The first extant traces of the teachings appear as part of the lore of the Zhang Zhung culture, but they are believed to have originated far earlier. Being an exceedingly restricted body of knowledge, said to convey enormous powers, the teachings disappear from the historical record for some 2600 years, not to reemerge until the 7th century AD in the arcane scriptures of the pre-Buddhist B'on religion in Nepal. The secret teachings of the 'Four Portals' contain enormous amounts of elemental magic, in keeping with their view of the cosmos as a psycho-physical unity, able to be manipulated in heightened states of awareness through clandestine techniques and practices. These highly esoteric teachings are founded on a profound premise: "The Universe is but a mirage which exists in the mind, springs from it, is controlled by it, and sinks into it." To understand this premise in a contemporary context, we may consider the following: "As a man who has ...
