I wrote Nihilist while still a young father. I had an experience in college (described in the 9th poem) that left an impression. The experience connected me with ideas on nihilism I was already exploring (also touched on in eDialogues). Somewhere along the way, I stumbled across I Ching and realized poems were a better way of expressing the experience and ideas that still mostly lingered beyond my grasp. Years later, I cleaned up these older writings. The collection is now a blend of youthful energy and measured reflection. Below are a couple excerpts to give you a sense of the work. The excerpt displayed above is from any number of online dictionaries. The use of negative words like "rejection" and "meaningless" hamper the meaning with the emotions of someone else. Nihilism is the freedom beneath. The negative words of a lexicographer suggest difficulty in accepting this freedom. However, the path to acceptance may not be as arduous as suggested.
