« C?urs cicatrisés » est la traduction inédite en langue française du second roman de Max Blecher (1909-1938) « Inimi cicatrizate » (1937) déjà traduit en plusieurs autres langues. Dans son inévitable « Histoire de la littérature roumaine des origines jusqu'à nos jours » (1941), George Calinescu estime que :« [ce] roman apparaît comme une imitation de « Der Zauberberg » de Thomas Mann. En lieu et place du sanatorium alpin accueillant des malades atteints de tuberculose pulmonaire, nous avons devant nous un sanatorium maritime des malades atteints de tuberculose osseuse. Comme chez Thomas Mann, les malades mènent une vie individuelle et complète dans un univers qui leur est propre. Tout ce qui relève de la physiologie est remarquable. De ce point de vue, le roman constitue un reportage de grande qualité. L'application du plâtre, la souffrance du malade d'être momifié vivant, le prurit, la crasse inhérente, les fistules, sont autant de moments dramatiques qui dévoilent un triste aspect de l'existence. Mais lorsque le romancier se met à romancer, il devient absurde, et lorsqu'il tombe dans l'érotisme, vraiment répugnant. » Précisons que « La Montagne magique » « Der Zauberberg », publié en 1924 est un livre volumineux, un roman d'idées inspiré à Thomas Mann par le séjour de son épouse dans un sanatorium à Davos, tandis que Blecher évoque en moins de deux cents pages Berck-sur-Mer, en France. Il aurait sans doute aimé voir son ?uvre perdurer à travers l'adaptation, il y a quelques années au Théâtre National de Constanta, de ce texte qui émeut avant tout par sa simplicité et par le minimalisme de sa forme qui soutient un fond explicite, voire brutal.
