Writing this book reminded me of all the labels I was given as a child and how this impacted my life in a negative manner. Later, I read a study in college about how they took two groups of children with the same intelligence. One group was treated as brilliant students and the other group with the same exact intellect, was treated as if they were slow readers with a low IQ. They discovered in this study, that the children who were treated as gifted, excelled and the other group did not. The self-fulfilling prophesy being played out indicated how a child is treated does effect their life. This study was a valuable lesson to me to speak words of affection, admiration and positive words into everyone's life. Words can build a child up or destroy their little souls. Children are a true gift from God, so lets speak golden nuggets of love, kindness and gratitude into their lives. Then our precious little champions will grow up someday to be amazing men and women.
