Gigantic Gonads Chapter Twelve (Dr. Tex Arcana Book 12) by Scott F Neve Price verified 2 hours ago

Gaza, Palestine Tex Arcana gazed through tear-stained eyes as he said, "God help me. I don't know what is real or not anymore." The night vision began with Tex as an invisible spirit traveling through time. He saw blind Samson with short dark hair being led by a lad into the Gaza arena. The three thousand wicked people were making sport of him. The five evil kings of Philistia ordered that the wild animals be released. Lions and tigers attacked him, but he defeated them barehanded. A rich Hebrew woman in a dark cloak watched from the shadows of the lowest colonnade. She lurked where the two middle pillars held up the four story-tall building that was like the Roman coliseum. She cried at the sight of the once-mighty man of valor being brought so low by his captors. The Philistine lords didn't want him dead. The five demon-possessed kings wanted to torment the great judge of the Israelites for the rest of his natural life. At the sight of a secret signal, the woman sullenly followed the pagan kings. They left the arena floor for the lower levels. They were going to present her with a huge payment. It was meant to be the final pay off for her special talents and services. Her betrayal of the mighty man weighed heavily upon her grieving heart. She had loved him once upon a time, but money was the god of her future. Suddenly, Samson was moved to the place that she had abdicated. He bowed his head to pray before he toppled the two main pillars. The arena fell down like a stone house of cards. As the invisible spirit, Tex was invincible too. He followed the mysterious woman's path down the ornate stairs. He penetrated through the tons of rubble to the next lower level. He watched the five kings give the reward to the mystery woman. She lowered her hood and she was revealed as Delilah, the only woman that Samson had truly loved. The earth quaked from the arena falling. The Philistine kings realized that they were trapped.

Luna programmed the backup AI to bond with the spaceship's main computer so it could take over if anything happened to the first AI. When the backup AI activated the alien virus caused a malfunction and it bonded with Charlie. The avatar began asking questions about everything. It asked things about the internet, Earth, life and so on. Charlie answered the questions as he tried to figure out how the hacker had done this. He turned off his speakers but still heard her voice. Even when he turned off and unplugged the computer. The avatar was still there and asked what he was doing. He figured it must be an elaborate hoax. Someone had gotten into his apartment and rigged his computer with some sort of wireless stuff he couldn't see.

Earth's Eulogy (Earth's New Timeline Book 1) by CJ Fielding 4.1 Stars (491 Reviews)    Price verified 7 hours ago

The book has now been edited. In July 2057, all life on Earth was wiped out by thousands of meteor strikes. Two men survived because they happened to be in the seed vault on Svalbard Island. An alien from a civilization far more advanced than our own sends them back in time to AD 70 with all the supplies that could be found in the seed vault. Will they be able to change the timeline enough that humanity can survive the extinction event of 2057? Please note this story does not whitewash history. The Empires of AD 70 did things that would be called ruthless by our times. Things that we would consider war crimes were considered honorable. Superstitions that would horrify us today were commonly practiced. Things like child marriage were not just practiced, but for much of the world was expected. If these things bother you, then you know how the main characters in this story will feel.

The Back Forty by Jessica Augustsson (JayHenge Publishing KB) 5.0 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

In the 1860s, the Homestead Acts granted farmers a quarter section; a section was nominally 1 square mile containing 640 acres, a quarter section was 160 acres, and the quarter section was itself subdivided into four quarter-quarter sections of 40 acres each: two front forty and two back forty. It now refers to the most remote part of a farm, or even the most remote or inaccessible part of any place. In The Back Forty, you will find stories that explore new, lawless frontiers, backwater towns, self-appointed sheriffs, lonesome explorers, bounty hunters, and other Wild West in Outer Space adventures.

Jago (The Jago trilogy Book 1) by James Ross 5.0 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

15 year-old Dakota Scout comes from a world of fear and famine, a world of sudden storms, of feral dogs, and gangs of murderous 'prowlers' who torture and murder for sport. Our own world is ninety years past, and all that remains of humanity are tiny tribes who survive beyond the ruins of the ghostly city of Jago, living on their wits and their ability to endure the worst that nature and humankind can throw at them. One day, pursued by a gang of prowlers, Dakota flees into the basement of a crumbling building and finds herself in a tiny, sterile room with a small computer whose screen lights up and asks her when she wants to go. She spins a dial and, when she leaves the room, she emerges into present-day San Diego. She has traveled back through time into a world of plenty, a world of lights, a world in which cars move and windows aren't all smashed and in which the people are safe and comfortable. Picked up by the police as a vagrant minor she is fostered by Dr. Jane Smith, and decides she will stay in this safe, protected world. She will go to school, she will make friends of girls her own age, she will forget the life she left behind. But the life she left behind hasn't forgotten her. Prowlers, friends and a murderous boy named Jester are all searching for her, all determined to find her. And the man who designed the machine that took her back through time isn't the only one to discover its secrets. Jago is the first novel in a YA fantasy trilogy: at times bleak and dark, it is not for the faint-hearted, yet it is filled with honesty and love, and it introduces an exceptional new character in Dakota Scout.

WARNING: DARK CONTENT The culling struck, killing millions. Anarchy ensued. Gangs fought for control of what was left, picking on those not strong enough to defend themselves. Soon the empty streets were painted with their blood. But, as society struggled to stabilise, there were some who could see the foundations of opportunity buried amongst the ashes. The 'General' has a vision. He wants to build an army, one strong enough that it can stake a claim on the apocalypse. From inside the dark and dank walls of the young offenders institution his ideas for a strong, new society are being realised; but at what cost? Like the others, Juliana was snatched during a violent raid on her home. It left her husband dead and her young son hiding in a cupboard. That was nearly ten years ago. If she ever hopes to escape and find her boy, she must first survive the horror and degradation of her forced incarceration. But the years of abuse have taken their toll and things are getting worse. Does she have what it takes to finally escape the clutches of the General and his perverse army of juveniles? Or will the prison see her sent down into the cells below, the ones from where nobody ever returns? The Human Zoo is a blood-soaked, action horror story set against the urban back drop of a post- apocalyptic London, a dangerous, lawless city where only the strong and merciless will survive. It is the first book in the series.
