Seeing Jesus as the Passover Lamb by James Thomas Lee Jr 4.7 Stars (5 Reviews)    Price verified 38 minutes ago

This text has been written to show the clear parallels between the children of Israel having been delivered from Egyptian bondage during the offering of the first Passover lamb and the possibility for deliverance from sin and the penalty of sin by the offering of the Passover Lamb, who is Jesus. It begins in the first two chapters by explaining how the children of Israel had become slaves in Egypt. It then shares the birth of Moses, a little bit about him and his life, and how the Lord had used him to bring the children of Israel out of their bondage. Starting in chapter five of this text, Jesus will be shown to be the Passover Lamb, who takes away the sin of the world. That does not mean that everyone is automatically saved. But it does mean that everyone can be saved. In chapter six, the intent will be to show why every person needs the Passover Lamb and then how he or she can receive Him. In chapter seven, the focus will be on how individuals should respond to Jesus as the Passover Lamb. Finally, chapter eight of this text will make five interesting comparisons between Old Testament situations and New Testament living. There is one note, however, to be made with respect to the organization of this text. Something that the reader of this text might find useful is boxes that show the different passages that are being referenced at the times and in the places where they are being referenced. That way, he or she will not have to jump all over the place or get into or out of the scriptures to locate a particular reference. Hopefully that inclusion will help the reader in trying to understand the various events and to also put them into the right context. So it is hoped that that will make this book easier to read and that the Lord will receive the praise, honor, and glory that He rightfully deserves. The simple key to all of life is to give oneself to Jesus, who is the Passover Lamb.

Himalayan Paranormal Experiences by Michael Hawking 4.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified one hour ago

Composed from the journals of explorer M.G. Hawking's five years in remote areas of the Himalayas, this book transports the reader into a legendary realm of the paranormal, a journey that leads to the discovery of the most refined and powerful knowledge possessed by the human race. "There is no true teacher who in practice does not believe in the existence of the higher self, or soul, or in the magic it manifests through the pursuit of knowledge. There is no desire more natural than the desire for knowledge. Learning is the movement from darkness to light." Many years ago, while trekking in an inner region of the vast frozen fortress of the Great Himalayan Range, Hawking chanced on an unexpected discovery. In a majestic valley surrounded by towering ice peaks he encountered a beautiful small village. In that community, called Siddhalaya by its residents, he had the privilege of meeting a number of truly remarkable men and women. This encounter marked the beginning of sixty-two months Hawking spent in the Himalayan regions of Nepal and Tibet, during which time he kept detailed records of his experiences and conversations with those legendary sages and masters. The team at Wisdom Masters Press, in association with Hawking, has worked diligently to compose a series of books based on his journals and field notes. This was a daunting assignment; he had accumulated many hundreds of pages of journal entries and field notes, all of which had to be sorted and cataloged. Yet it was a fascinating if formidable task, one that could not have been accomplished without the assistance and encouragement of some of the extraordinary individuals Hawking met in the Himalayas, all of whom you will meet in the pages of our books. From the Author: "The wisdom of the masters is powerful and profound, and one hopes it will bring great light into the lives of our readers, will offer them insight and guidance, will greatly expand their knowledge and power, will be validated by their ...

The Word Of Light by Maryam Hamidi 4.8 Stars (6 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

The Bible says from the beginning God created all things Good, Well he is Good so he can only create good things, more than that he created man in his own image and in his own likeness. The way he created everything was by his word, He spoke the (good)words, and (good)things came to be. Until we see sin entering this world. Where did sin and evil come from then? It couldn't come from him he is a good God and it can't come from inside of a man because man was created in God's image and he was Holy as God is Holy. So it came from the outside! It was a lie that's all that it was. just a lie!... And the lie was that we are not created in God's image and so we are not Good as he is Good. When that lie is believed evil enters the world. When a man speaks he creates just like God. So when a man speaks evil he creates evil. Why would he speak evil in the first place? From seeing and hearing something that is outside. All that man receives from the outside... An experience he has might get inside his thoughts and turn into a belief and based on that belief he starts speaking. That's where judgments come from. But who remembers the verse in the Bible that says God does not judge based on the appearances and the outside but the inside? who are you inside? Who are we all humans inside? Jesus the son of God! yes I believe that Jesus is who we truly are inside and he is the only true identity we all have no matter what background we come from what religion we have what family or country we are grown in we all have one identity and that is the son of the living God, We are all his Children made in his image Holy and blameless and that's the truth Jesus came to reveal to us.Now the moment we start judging one another based on our works or worldly gains or achievements is the moment we eat from the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and at that very moment we die and produce sin. why should we know evil? Is God both good and evil or is he only good? As the book of Romans ...

Making The Axe Head Swim by Paul Johnston Sr. 5.0 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

This is a more mature themed book than most of Mr. Johnston's earlier works and is not recommended by the author for young readers. Pastor Rick is a very inexperienced young man of God with only six months experience leading a congregation when a particularly dear lady in his church who is awaiting heart transplant surgery comes forward during altar call and buries her head into Pastor Rick's shoulder and cries inconsolably. He soon learns of a tragedy in her family. Her dear nephew, Xavier, is imprisoned on twenty-four counts of first degree murder. With his appeals all exhausted, Xavier is scheduled to die by execution in less than two weeks. This dear lady begs her young pastor to go visit her nephew. Although she does not condone his acts, she continues to love him greatly. She further tells her pastor that he has nobody in the whole world to care what happens to him other than her and in her failing health she cannot travel to see him before he dies. She begs her pastor to go to him and try to keep him from having an eternal hell since his life has been hell on earth. Not knowing what he will find when he gets to the prison, Pastor Rick is feeling pretty overwhelmed. Xavier is not at all the way he had pictured him having heard he was a monster. He finds instead a man with a conscience and a heart rending story. The reader will be moved by what you learn about Xavier and why he did what he did. Watch this young Pastor deal with the fears and questions of a man about to die for a horrific crime. Then learn some valuable life lessons and see how this criminal some regard as a monster actually helps this young man grow in his calling. The read is short, but worthwhile. Learn the lesson of the axe head, you'll be glad you did.

The place Coral Kelley loved best was her Garden. It was her true nest, more her own than her sprawling townhouse by the Sea. It was hers; even her darling Chihuahuas were not allowed. They had the whole house and the front yard to sleep and play in. And yet, now it seemed complete with pebbled pathways, latticework of Jasmine's dipping blossoms, goldfish ponds, hibiscus and bougainvillea, Sago Palm and Citrus groves among the mounds of lush flora, yet there was a pretty pout of her lower lip where she sat breathing the deeply scented Earth. * * * On the promenade where she sat watching the surfers, her two little dogs in the shade of the bench, that same pretty pout relaxed when she saw the specter of Jack Wilander, a mere passerby, walking along his bicycle. The heroic Wilander asked to sit; and the middle-aged widow knew now... how to put the finishing touch to her Garden...

The Truth About Halloween: Understanding What to Do From a Christian Perspective by Ross Silke 3.4 Stars (8 Reviews)    Price verified 9 hours ago

The Truth About Halloween explores what to do from a Christian perspective; for kids, adults, families, and parents, the book touches on the subject with a clear explanation as to what's appropriate for the Christian and moral believer October 31. Although the holiday is dedicated from a medieval perspective as honouring and worshipping Satan, it has been hundreds of years since its pagan introduction and the holiday is really in illumination of children getting to know one another, dressing up, and meeting their neighbours door-to-door, so there is some good in Halloween despite its historical meaning, it can be handled appropriately and given to Jesus as a celebration of children and their right to freedom rather than a day to honour and worship Satan, enemy to the church. Jesus can take anything created for evil and turn it into good which I think He has overtime given this holiday. Read this book to explore more of the topic and in finding peace concerning this traditional child and family holiday.

Reimagining Boundaries: Jewish and Christian Identity in Late Antiquity by Juan Marcos Bejarano Gutierrez 4.2 Stars (13 Reviews)    Price verified 25 minutes ago

In the eighth century, a debate between Sergius the Stylite and a Jew occurred. The discussion was conveniently titled, Debate against a Jew. It records arguments about the relevance of biblical texts to Christians and the Jewish people. The anti-Jewish perspectives of Sergius are not surprising. The response given by his Jewish interlocutor is, however. The Jew noted that he was surprised by the number of Christians who attended his synagogue, contributed to it, and celebrated various Jewish holidays alongside Jews. What does this tell us? It shows us that the boundaries between Jews and Christians even as late as the 8th century were permeable at the very least and ill-defined at the most extreme. The anti-Jewish polemics of Melito of Sardis in the second century or John Chrysostom in the fourth century are heartfelt. Regardless of how vile they are, they reflect something very significant. The Church's consistent attack on Jewish practices and theology was reflective of a simple fact. The Jewish tradition was sufficiently strong to interest curious Christians who were most certainly familiar with the anti-Jewish sentiments of medieval Christianity but saw in the living presence of Jews among them a very different portrait of the people of the Bible and their continued appeal. Judaism and Christianity as we know them today, and this is the crucial point, i.e., today did not exist in the first centuries of the Common Era in the same form. This is not to say that people did not recognize near-universal Jewish observances, i.e., the Sabbath, the lighting of candles, beliefs, i.e., the election of Israel, etc., or even nascent Christian rituals. But the fully developed theological systems and the boundaries of these entities did not exist in the same way they did in later periods of history. With that being said, this work seeks to address the problem of Jewish and Christian identity from various perspectives. What follows are a series of what I call ...

Ancestral Blessings: Prayers to destroy “ancestral curses”, negative generational patterns and enforcement of your heavenly blessings by Christian Benjamin 4.7 Stars (4 Reviews)    Price verified one hour ago

Legacy for the next generation! Life is like a relay race. You run, then, you hand over to another person, the race continues till the last person gets it finished! The race is not won till the last person finishes well and strong. Generation to generation, life is supposed to get better, not worse, but in some climes, it does not seem to be the case. In this book, you are brought face to face with the reality and fact that the legacies we leave behind are the things that outlive us. Do we really intend to leave our world better than we found it? Do we really look into the future with an eye to develop strong lines and links that will make strong future generations or are we destroying the bonds that will make our society a better place? What will future generations remember you for? Are you leaving blessings or curses? Are you building or destroying? Are you creating paths for the next generation to chat the right courses? The bible states clearly that: "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children... " Proverbs 13:22 If a good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, it stands on proper reasoning to conclude that what he will leave will be good inheritances and on the opposite, a bad man will also leave an inheritance that will most probably be nothing short of evil inheritances, a bad name, debts, occultism, evil relationships etc. which could possibly result in hardship, suffering, difficulties, diverse sicknesses etc. In any society where bad or evil men establish evil networks and legacies, the future of that society already is negatively mortgaged and where the reverse is the case, good legacies and inheritances are bequeathed to the next generation. So much has been heard about Ancestral curses while it does not seem much is being said about Ancestral blessings! This makes it look like what our progenitors or ancestors have offered us their children and children's children are only struggles, curses and unending labours ...

Enter the Light, Experiences of the Paranormal by Michael Hawking 4.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 7 hours ago

"Light is the fire that burns and the sun that gives life. Light is the wind and the rain and the thunder in the sky. Light is the heavens and the earth, what is and what is not, and what lies in Eternity." -- Seneca Composed from the journals of explorer Michael Hawking's five years in remote areas of the Himalayas, this book transports the reader into a legendary land of light, a realm that in all history only a handful of people have experienced, a journey that leads to the discovery of the most refined and powerful psychical knowledge possessed by the human race. Many years ago, while trekking in an inner region of the vast frozen fortress of the Great Himalayan Range, Hawking chanced on an unexpected discovery. The team at Wisdom Masters Press, in association with Hawking, has worked diligently to compose a series of books based on his records. This was a daunting assignment; he had accumulated hundreds of pages of journal notes and field notes, all of which had to be sorted and cataloged. Yet it was a fascinating if formidable task, one that could not have been accomplished without the assistance and encouragement of some of the extraordinary individuals Hawking met in the Himalayas, all of whom you will meet in the pages of our books. From the Author: "The wisdom of the masters is powerful and profound, and one hopes it will bring great light into the lives of our readers, will offer them insight and guidance, will greatly expand their knowledge and power, will be validated by their experience, or, at ...

Minnie: A Horse Too Small to See by Linda Thomas 4.2 Stars (17 Reviews)    Price verified 7 hours ago

This is a story about a little girl named Taralyn. She desires to have a horse of her own. Her parents will not let her have a horse. She asks God to change their minds. Taralyn's parents are so preoccupied with their own day-to-day lives that they cannot see a very real horse. This story reveals in an interesting way how God answers Taralyn's prayers. It shows the power of childlike faith. It also reveals the lack of faith most adults have as Taralyn's parents cannot see God's answer at first. This is a great book to read as a bedtime story. It will capture both the young reader's and adult's attention.

The Last Adam (Grace and Knowledge Series Book 1) by Woody Brohm (Brother Woody Brohm) 4.7 Stars (15 Reviews)    Price verified 7 hours ago

Jesus Christ is described as "The Last Adam" in 1 Corinthians 15:45. To understand the significance of this obscure title requires extensive Bible study and reflection. The goal of this book is to enable the reader to understand the Bible as it was meant to be understood, as a whole, from beginning to end. This is accomplished through straightforward statements, authoritative conclusions, and relevant Bible references for further investigation. For example, to explore the significance of The Last Adam, we'll have to start back with the first man, Adam, and get a grasp on the ramifications of his life. Once that is accomplished, we can prepare to discover the meaning and significance of the Last Adam, head of the new creation! This is a subject that toggles back and forth between the beginning of time and the end. We are able to navigate such vast extremes because the Bible contains God's revelation of such events. We will explore these revealed mysteries by relying on teachings from the Apostles as recorded in the New Testament. Helpful explanations and commentary are included to engage the reader to "grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 3:18). Too often we attempt to understand life only from a human perspective and come up lacking. Think for a minute about an apple seed. We may see nothing more than a seed and perhaps the potential for a tree. God can look at that seed and see all the trees that will ever come from it! Or in reverse, He knows the apple and tree from which it came and knows the source all the way back to the first apple tree He ever created in the beginning. In contemplating God's perspective, it's necessary to step back and consider the greatness of our God and Creator. Life for mankind began with instructions and a warning. When God warned Adam that he would die for eating the forbidden fruit, he meant not only Adam himself but the entire race of mankind. As God anticipated the sin and death of the entire ...

What God Says About Apostasy & Hope: Learn what hope and apostasy truly are, in the eyes of God by What God Says Ministries 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 8 hours ago

When attempting to supernaturally birth the promises of God into your life, and life situations, it is important for you to know that your hope must only be in what the Word of God says, and nothing else. Psalm 119:114 (NIV) states "You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in Your Word." Psalms 119:114 teaches that hope is to be placed on the Word of God (God) - and that Word of God (which is where your hope is to be) is to also be your refuge, and shield. You can't put your hope in nice things, positive things, people, or what people say, - as those things don't have a firm guarantee in the spirit realm. As a born again Christian, you can only place your hope in what the Word of God says, as that Word is backed by a guarantee from God. Isaiah 55:11 (NIV) states "So is My word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." In life when you decided to establish your hope on the Word of God (in order to birth that Word of God into your life and / or life situation), many enemies to the Word of God (that you are attempting to birth) could / will arise along the way. These enemies to the Word of God, could come from tiredness, hunger, ailments in the body, sinful thoughts, sinful emotions, negative past memories, ungodly perceptions, sinful imaginations, a will that is contrary to the Word of God, your personality, secular advice, popular opinion, societal norms, various types of temptation, etc. Whatever enemies that arise in your life along your hope walk, ensure that you stay fixated on what you are attempting to hope in, and manifest (the Word of God). You are only to have confident expectation on what the Word of God has to say - never have expectation or confident expectation on the contradiction to the Word of God. Psalm 43:5 (NIV) states "... Put your hope in God... " Your hope (confident expectation) is always to be in God (what the Word of God ...
