End of a Girl (Folio 55 Book 1) by Nia Sinjorina 4.2 Stars (16 Reviews)    Price verified one minute ago

"Now I lie in a chamber deep underground, as safe from the monsters and their masters, the creatures and their crimes, as I can be; not knowing whether I'll see the sky, or what remains of it ever again. As I forget everything but the task, as the All fills me, refreshes me, steadies me, and removes me, I drink my fill from the flow of the Web and share the sensations of my companions who have yet to abandon the surface.""Somewhere far above, the universe has gone mad. The beautiful mother that is the moon has started to burn. The forever father that is the sun appears to be dimming, a dark spot growing bigger and blacker against its golden skin. Fiery rocks have begun to fall from the heavens, to punch through the air and pummel the land below, the place where we and what remains of all life does live. It is all I can do, in consumption of these crimes, to keep water from my eyes and despair from my heart."So are written the words of the Narrator, shared and transcribed for the Folion, on the 28th of November, 2020. These sentences form part of the fifty-fifth folio, the work that relates the tale of The Lady, she who has set us free. With humanity's armies destroyed, its nations mere memory, and its people hunted to extinction, our last stand, as mandated by the Epilogue, is made not with force of arms but with a Sharing. On paper and metal, plastic and stone, we throw our survival into the streams of time, so that who we are shall never die!End of a Girl, the first book of Folio 55, is out now. Grab a copy and begin an epic journey in the company of an insignificant teenager inhabiting a remote town on a distant coastline of the United Kingdom. Insecure, angry, and bored, Molly Peterson wishes for a more interesting life. Be careful what you wish for!

CONCUSSION MAGICK (The Furai Compilation Book 1) by RICHARD SKEET 3.5 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 12 minutes ago

At 12-years-old, I became a dark wizard--following the left-hand path. As Robert Frost wrote, "Two roads diverged in a wood and I--I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." It wasn't an easy decision--I fought it. Most normal people like to think of themselves as 'good'--even the shitty ones. Few have the balls to declare, 'I am evil.' I embraced who I was--what I was--why I was, and where I was going. I remember my sifu's promise to me, "If your destiny is to become a dark wizard, I'll make sure you become the darkest wizard ever." The sifu who spoke these words to me was my father--he died over six years ago. Effectively, I signed his death warrant with my decision to become dark, and who I chose to call 'master.' I embraced my darkness, are you ready to do the same? CONCUSSION: a thought form, expelled violently, which bends the universe. (Primitives call this a spell.) Magick, black and white, is real. Wizards--who've learned a few simple things enabling them to bend reality--are real. Chi--emotional energy wizards release--is real. CONCUSSION MAGICK: cutting-edge; cross-genre; non-genre. Purpose: benefit man, period. Readers gain advantage, a dominant edge over any opponent, forever. A simple, complete system of weaponized magick. Magick--the most powerful weapon man has. Learning magick: the only chance we have to fight the enemies of man. Designed to forge warrior wizards--men who can't be dominated, defeated, or enslaved by any enemy--FURAI.

DEBUNKING HOLOCAUST DENIAL THEORIES: Two Non-Jews Affirm the Historicity of the Nazi Genocide by James Morcan (Sterling Gate Books) 4.0 Stars (86 Reviews)    Price verified 26 minutes ago

DEBUNKING HOLOCAUST DENIAL THEORIES: Two Non-Jews Affirm the Historicity of the Nazi Genocide, by independent researchers and filmmakers James Morcan & Lance Morcan with a foreword by Holocaust survivor Hetty E. Verolme (author of The Children's House of Belsen), aims to end the denial once and for all by tackling the bizarre phenomenon head-on. Written in close consultation with Holocaust survivors and World War Two historians, no stone is left unturned in meticulously verifying the historical facts of the genocide. The Morcans present a wide array of sources including Nazi documentation, eyewitness accounts, scientific reports and shocking photographic evidence to shut down the debate deniers wish to create. One by one, the various arguments Holocaust deniers use to try to discredit wartime records are carefully scrutinized and then systematically disproven. Theories debunked include: the six million death toll figure being an exaggeration; gas chamber exterminations being fictitious; Adolf Hitler and the Third Reich being wrongly vilified; the analysis of Holocaust records being a taboo due to specific laws in Europe criminalizing deniers; "Evil Zionists" and Israel being so powerful that they can censor history. The Holocaust is shown in this book's pages to be one of the most well-documented and most historically and forensically-proven crimes of the 20th Century. In the process, many of the world's most infamous deniers, including disgraced British historian David Irving and the former President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, are revealed to be nothing but anti-Semites seeking to further denigrate, undermine and demoralize the world's Jewish population. In this enlightening read that covers more than two millennia of global history, anti-Semitism is shown not only to be the root cause of every form of Holocaust denial, but also the reason for the relentless persecution of the Jews since Biblical times. The authors quote verbatim the often sickening ...

Ella's Journey by June Harwood-Brown 4.5 Stars (236 Reviews)    Price verified 26 minutes ago

Ella Warrington, a lively, fiery-spirited ten year-old cockney girl who lives in Lambeth in the East end of London is left orphaned when her mother, Esther, dies shortly after the end of World War Two, having lost a bravely fought battle with cancer. The only person Ella believes she has left in the world is her beloved neighbour, Eric Donnelly, a school teacher who has been like a father to her since she was two years old. Eric Donnelly believes that he will automatically become Ella's guardian. However, two strangers attend her mother's funeral; the dour Harriet Rudge, who claims to be her Mother's cousin, and her corpulent husband Ronald Rudge. With a letter from the court confirming their legal guardianship of Ella, and despite her pleading to stay with her neighbour, they take her away from everything she knows and holds dear to live with them in their sprawling house, Yew Tree Manor, on the Romney Marsh in Kent, leaving Eric Donnelly feeling bereft and anguished over Ella's heartbreaking departure. It is immediately apparent that the Rudges are despicable characters and their intentions truly reprehensible when, having put Ella in the neglected attic room, originally the servants' quarters, damp and freezing in the Arctic conditions of the harshest winter in over a century, she quickly becomes subjected to their 'disciplines'. Facing extreme adversity and battling all the odds, Ella embarks on a treacherous journey to return to her home and her beloved Mr Donnelly.

Quanology: Evolution & You by John Khoury 4.2 Stars (9 Reviews)    Price verified 28 minutes ago

See the world around you in a whole new way with John Khoury's thought-provoking new book, Quanology. A unified theory of human living, the concept of Quanology represents the next evolutionary step in achieving what humans would consider "the good life." And while it's currently popular to view nature and technology as two fundamentally opposed concepts, Quanology approaches each as complementary to the other. So what does this mean for you and your life? It means that applying the principles of Quanology to your life can dramatically increase your sense of purpose, well-being, and fulfillment. Based on the idea of evolution and natural selection, which Khoury proves still rules over us today, Quanology emphasizes the idea that nature is not a force separate from us. Humans are nature, so when we choose to study and embrace it, we are actually studying and embracing our own selves. This key insight is the starting point from which we can learn to live better, more realized lives. Khoury manages to take a technical, sometimes heavy subject and present it in a light and approachable manner that will leave readers with a renewed sense of purpose as they tackle life's challenges.

Beyond The Shrouded Mountain: Our Choice is between Good and Evil - Which will you choose? by Carl Snyder 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 37 minutes ago

In Deuteronomy 30:11-19, the bible quotes God as saying, "Surely, this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too hard for you, nor is it too far away... I have set before you today life and prosperity, death and adversity. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God... then you shall live and become numerous, and the Lord your God will bless you. But if your heart turns away and you do not hear... and you bow down to other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall perish... I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live... " As we go through life we are faced with choices to make. Those choices become our responsibility to God. He gave us freedom of choice and we are held accountable for those choices in either this life or after-life. If you believe that after our time on earth has ended that we may have a last chance so-to-speak, to reconcile our bad choices, then 'Beyond The Shrouded Mountain' will give you a look at a possibility that may be presented. The author wrote this book in 1980 but it was never published. His son YoHanan, a writer in his own right, dusted off the old 500 page manuscript that had been typed on an old Royal typewriter, and he restored it. Very, very, little was changed except for adding a preface and an additional chapter to include some of the details of YoHanan's own story about a 40-Day fast he completed where God referred to his fathers book 'Beyond the Shrouded Mountain' as a part of his journey. 'Beyond the Shrouded Mountain' is a story of the consequences of choices we make in regard to good and evil. God has given us a rulebook to follow and when we choose to follow our own way instead of His, the day will come when we must make amends. Follow a story of a man and his father who try desperately to help the poor souls who have lost and still looking for their way. Full of mystery, humor and a vivid imagination, you will certainly ...

Bigfoot & Santa Vs The Donald (Bigfoot And Santa Book 3) by Raven Blackbird 4.5 Stars (2 Reviews)    Price verified 37 minutes ago

It's 2016 in America, which means it's election time! Santa Claus has always been kind of racist, so naturally he gravitates toward the Donald, the mentally deranged, bigoted Republican candidate supported by the KKK and Neo-Nazis. Bigfoot, on the other hand, has always been a bleeding heart liberal, so he of course supports Hill-Dawg, the shady, calculating Democratic nominee who also happens to be the wife of the beloved former president, Slick Willy. When The Donald announces one of his infamous race-baiting campaign rallies in New York City, Santa wants to go to support his beloved bigot. Bigfoot wants to go, too, but only so he can protest. Bigfoot unsurprisingly is beaten up by the Donald's supporters and subsequently arrested. Santa is arrested too, since he is actually an illegal immigrant from the North Pole. This causes Santa to second-guess his support of such a narrow-minded candidate. Bigfoot and Santa are surprised when Hill-Dawg, Slick Willy, and President Nobama bail them out of prison. But they're not just doing it out of the goodness of their calculating hearts. Hill-Dawg wants Bigfoot and Santa, along with their bffs the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy, to help them invade The Donald's impregnable fortress, affectionately known as Rump Tower. It turns out the The Donald is actually a supervillain hell-bent on ruling not only America, but the entire world. And with Hill-Dawg's approval ratings at an all-time low, there is a somewhat decent chance of the Donald actually becoming elected President of the United States. So if there is any hope of stopping the Donald from becoming dictator of Planet Earth, he has to be stopped now. Will Bigfoot, Santa, Hill-Dawg, and Slick Willy succeed in thwarting the Donald's nefarious plot of unleashing a global race war? Or will The Donald succeed in unleashing a wave of bigotry and hysteria across the entire planet? Read this satirical political thriller to find out!!!

After surviving several lifesaving heart operations, living with disabilities, and needing a complete heart and lung transplant, God threw just one more ball! But this time, it wasn't aimed at me... but at the whole bloody world! The scientists named it the CORONAVIRUS... but Donald Trump had many other pet names for it! Being one of the four million clinically extremely vulnerable individuals in our society, my specialists, long before the UK government woke up to the pandemic, decided it was best to keep me indoors and shielded away from the virus with only the best and worst people I could imagine - My family! When I started posting these diary entries on social media, I got such a great response from all my friends and followers that they persuaded me to share them on a much bigger scale - The book you now hold in your hands! The tall stranger with cobalt blue eyes not only swept me off my feet but changed my life forever. Benedict Whitlock, or Ben, as he invited me to call him, was exactly what I needed. Or was he? My romantic relationships before this sexy stranger were beige at best and a little too predictable. Ben was wealthy, wickedly witty, jaw-droppingly sexy, and irresistibly doable. One night in his arms ruined me for all other lovers -- yes, he was that good. But life is anything but predictable, and before I knew it, mine was thrown headlong down a spiral of terror no one could have predicted. Was Ben being truthful about who he was? My gut told me something wasn't quite right, but I chose to ignore the signs. Does true love truly possess the power to overcome? Would I have to say goodbye to Ben, the only man who ever captured my heart so completely? One thing was for sure. I was in for the fight of my life.

It's Dark in Wenlock by Bill Stenlake 4.0 Stars (87 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

It's Dark in Wenlock. I have been out at night in Wenlock before, of course I have. It is just that I haven't been out that late, walking home in complete darkness. They turn off the street lights overnight. That made the difference, as I walked home last night. I'd got a call for help about 10 o'clock, but by the time everything was sorted it was about 3 o'clock before I was ready to walk home. I walked down the lane by the Pottery and turned onto Sheinton Street. At the Bull Ring I crossed over the road and started walking up past the church. I heard a noise to my left. I can't explain what sort of noise exactly, but it was like a swooshing noise. I stopped and turned. I felt my heartrate go up a few notches. I could just make out the outline of the nearest gravestones. I could also make out the shape of the big tree beyond that. That was about the extent of my view. Then she appeared from the doorway of the church and walked along the path and away from me. She must have been hiding in the doorway as I approached. The whoosh, I took to be her movement. She had a long cloak on, as far as I could make out. Beyond the gravestones, she just blended into the rest of the darkness. I did call out to her, but she didn't slow down and she didn't respond. That was my first encounter with her. Later that morning I saw activity down the town. When I enquired what was going on, I found out that a body had been discovered in a house near to the corner of Sheinton Street. A passer-by had found the front door open and ventured in. What they found was not a pretty sight. I felt I should mention that I had been walking past there in the night. I also feel I should tell about the figure I saw running away from the entrance to the church, less than 50 metres away. I am interviewed by a detective and that is that. But it isn't. About lunchtime I have been in the town again. I am on my way home when a car stops beside me. It is the detective. 'We need to have another talk to ...

The Ultimate Guide to Agile Marketing in Display Ads by Flite Inc. 3.1 Stars (21 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

Agile marketing is about taking small steps, minimizing risk, and failing fast, all in an effort to figure out what works as efficiently as possible. As a methodology, it focuses on an iterative approach to planning and executing, learning quickly, and having a bias towards action. Agile marketing means listening to what your customer wants, programming your ads to reflect relevant topics, updating, and measuring. So why does agile marketing matter in display advertising? Because display is growing and marketers can't afford to rely on static text and image ads to meet ROI objectives. Forrester Research predicts that interactive display media in the U.S. will double between 2012 and 2017 to become a $28 billion industry, one that is ripe to adopt the flexibility and real-time nature that marketers have grown accustomed to with their social media. With agile marketing in display ads, brands can update their ads in real-time with the same ease that they update their Facebook pages and Twitter feeds. This incremental approach allows marketers to create relevant, timely marketing that matches the pace of the evolving digital landscape.

The question is often posed: do you need hills to condition a horse for endurance riding? There has been a suggestion that having your horse "drive" will simulate hills. I don't believe there is science to back up this speculation, it sounds good but I think is quite impractical for most people and may not actually work. There is science to test if this is true or not. In this short article, Nancy Morgan Reed works with a mechanical engineer to find the solution using math, physics and a bit of trigonometry. The solution may be surprising, but it often is when we apply real math to a situation most normally evaluated anecdotally.

It's the last week of summer vacation, in 1985 for three boys who find themselves on the tipping point of boredom until one suggests that they sneak into a construction site while the workers are away. After being chased out and almost caught by the onsite foreman, the ensuing adrenaline rush leaves Derek in a state of euphoria and sparks an interest in him to capture the feeling again and again. Derek suffers from a terrible case of insomnia where, every so often, his brain refuses to let him sleep for days on end while it progressively leads him to hallucinate strange, dark creatures. But as he learns that the adrenaline rushes are having a re-charging effect on his body he initiates his two best friends, Sean and Jaxon, in a new game they begin to call The Sneak. Then in an unforeseen misunderstanding at a little league game the boys make unwitting enemies with a set of older kids. The kind of kids with long hair and heavy metal t-shirts and bad attitudes who promise to exact revenge on them for their hapless mistake. Sean has lived alone with his mother and brother for years but when a new suitor comes into the picture he finds himself at odds over the stranger. At first he seems okay, charming, but eventually a dark secret will arise and Sean will learn the man's true intentions. Jaxon's uncle is a Captain on the Corona police force and he relates to his nephew the stories of two boys who have gone missing from different city parks in the area. The symbols that have been left behind at the scenes point to something sinister and evil. The country is in the grip of the Satanic Panic and this only leads the public to more questions about who is behind the abductions. One night Derek discovers a clue about the disappearance of one of the boys but doesn't quite know how to connect it. Then, he discovers a secret his own father is hiding as well. And when a third boy goes missing, a boy they all know, they begin a search of their own to find out what ...

The Rebel (Shadows over the Black Land Book 1) by Monika Mangal 4.2 Stars (69 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

First part of a riveting trilogy set in the closing years of the nineteenth pharaonic dynasty When Tawosret becomes the second Great Royal Wife of the newly crowned Pharaoh, Seti, she doesn't look forward joyfully to a life by the side of her much older husband. Unaccustomed to the ways of the royal court, she initially struggles to meet the expectations that come with her elevated status and to find her place in a family that soon turns out to be far from perfect. Just how deep the rift between the factions is becomes clear when an uprising on an unprecedented scale shakes the very foundations of Seti's rule. The insurgents are headed by no other than his own son, Amunmesse. Having proclaimed himself king, Amunmesse leads an impressive army from Nubia northwards in a steady, unstoppable advance. It takes him only a few months to bring the better part of the country under his complete control. Seti, whose own influence is henceforth restricted to the delta and a small part of the adjacent river valley, strictly refuses to acknowledge Amunmesse as rightful king and co-regent. On the reverse, when the adversaries don't ignore one another, they fight each other with every means possible. Before long, the devastating effects of the ongoing struggle make themselves felt. Tawosret soon realises that far more is at stake than meets the eye, but what that might be eludes her. It is only with the help of an unlikely ally that the truth finally unravels, and when it does, Tawosret's already faltering loyalty to her husband suffers a serious blow. But worse is yet to come...

He, the man that ruined my life with his charming smiles and thoughtful gifts. Bently Baker, the most known popstar in recent years, was the misery of my existence. To the world, he was a breath of fresh air. To me, he was the cinching anxiety swarming my lungs. After two years of his abuse, I finally worked up the nerve to escape. Going somewhere remote would be my best option to lay low and let him forget me. Deep down, I knew he'd never stop looking for me because his egotistical urge to win was too great. His obsession with controlling me would lead as his general on this path of war, so I'd have to live a simple life with few people around me to know who stood in my shadow. Small towns were rumored for romance, but I vowed to steer clear of that forever... until a lost little girl leads me to three men who make my heart thrum a little faster than I'd like. With the promise of food and shelter in exchange for nannying, how could I refuse when I didn't have a dollar to my name? WARNING: This story contains domestic violence and PTSD in the present. Forget Me Not by Allison Whitmore 4.3 Stars (86 Reviews)    Price verified 4 hours ago

Fall into a gripping yet charming tale of love, secrets, and families that drive you mad. Forget Me Not is an epic coming-of-age romance for the ages. Theodora "Teddi" Donovan and Calvin Wynne have been enemies for a long time for reasons neither of them had any power over. Teddi, a society debutante with a mind of her own, and Calvin, an orphan without any social standing, both had parents who died on the same night many years ago. The rumor was that Teddi's spoiled black-sheep dad, a member of the highly respected Donovan family, killed Calvin's father, a local reverend without much money to his name. The scandal has fueled gossip in quiet, quaint Brookhurst, New York, for over a decade and left Teddi and Calvin in the wake of its mystery. When they decide to buck society and become friends, the town is not ready for their choices. But will that matter to the spitfire Teddi and the stubborn but lovable Calvin? Will Teddi's iron-fisted grandmother stand in their way? Will war and family secrets tear them apart? Spanning continents and decades, Forget Me Not is a coming-of-age 20th century romance that will take you on a journey of truth, self-reliance, and the freeing power of love. From the author: Allison Chaney Whitmore (aka Allison Whitmore) is writer from Los Angeles who loves a good star-crossed lover romance. She also loves stories about history. When asked about the characters in Forget Me Not, Allison revealed, "Calvin was sort of my ideal guy, in all his messy ways, when I was in college. That's when he came to life. He listens -- usually, and for the most part, he cares. Whereas Teddi has always been the stubborn side of me and so many of the other people I've known and admired growing up." The characters are rich and spring off the page. Forget Me Not has recently been adapted into a television pilot entitled, American Town.

The prison ship Dragon's Fear is about to get a stowaway more dangerous than the magical prisoners it usually transports... The prisoner transport ship the Dragon's Fear has sailed the seas long enough to have encountered nearly every type of danger. Massive storms, prisoner riots, vicious sea creatures, and hundreds of other struggles have all befallen the Conjury sailing vessel in its years of service. Yet Captain Brightfang's strong hand has always kept the unruly and fractious crew in line as they transport their mystically-empowered prisoners to the magic-suppressing penal colony of Tide Island. But when Kelby of Gap Mouth Bay, one of the ship's crew, makes a clandestine deal that brings what seems to be a treacherous sickness on board, the careful balance of the Dragon's Fear is quickly threatened. The tenuous bonds of the crew fray even further when a raging storm races toward them across the open ocean, and a mysterious box is discovered in the hold -- possibly holding worse danger than a simple illness. The crew of the Dragon's Fear will quickly discover which is more perilous: being trapped with a monster, or with each other... CONTENT NOTE: This series is about horrible people doing horrible things to each other. Nearly every human vice and trauma is explored in the narrative. Reader discretion is strongly advised.
