The Country Haven Diaries: Inside A Residential Care Facility by Dustin Hartley 3.9 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified 9 hours ago

They called it Country Haven. Venture inside a residential care facility in Iowa in this nonfiction account. I was meant to stay in the care facility for just a short while. I suppose it wasn't too long, though it was over a year, if I remember correctly. I was there to get my medications adjusted. I met some semi-normal people, and I met some very disturbed and disabled persons. These are my notes of what happened at Country Haven.

Obama's Islamization of America by Will Clark 4.1 Stars (4 Reviews)    Price verified 9 hours ago

What are Barack Obama's plans for our great nation, America? His words, inclinations, and actions strongly suggest his plans are not the same as those who fought for and formed this nation designed for our happiness, opportunity, and protection. He leads us on a different and more dangerous path. America has been led by many leaders in our history. Some have been great leaders, and some not so great. Whether great or not, those leaders in our past were guided by one commonality. All those leaders professed, in larger or lesser degree, a belief in God as our Creator, and as the foundation of our nation of hope and promise for the betterment of humanity. That has been our history and our nation's foundation. Now that has all changed. Suddenly, Barack Obama came into power, from obscurity, and changed our fundamental guiding light. He erased that Christian and positive commonality by suddenly proclaiming, "We are no longer a Christian nation." Although he meekly claims to be a 'Christian,' his words, deeds, and actions clearly demonstrate without any doubt whatsoever that he is not as he says. A Christian would never utter such deep blasphemies that routinely spew from Obama's mouth. With this background as a starting place, we must consider where Barack Obama plans to take us into the future. It's certainly not the place our Founding Fathers planned and designed for us. It's not the road to independence, happiness, and salvation. It's more a road so often tread throughout history; into peril, disaster, and inhumanity. In this case, it's into a place ruled by the dictates of Islamic terror veiled as the 'Religion of Peace.' Our future must be walked with great care. There are many dangers along the way. Most of those dangers are very obvious, but who among us have any power to guide us to safer grounds? God bless America.

"A high-stakes political thriller with a deeply romantic undertone... With the way this book ended, I'm eager to find out what happens next." Independent Book Review A chance meeting one night in Shanghai introduces American banker Jack Gold to an Israeli man named Ari, who has a stunning proposition: Help Israel and the United States infiltrate China's heavily guarded Control Center and address the nation with the truth they deserve to hear. China, a country of 1.4 billion citizens, is an existential threat to itself and the rest of the world. OBAMA'S WORLD: Secrets and Deceptions by Will Clark 2.7 Stars (4 Reviews)    Price verified 20 minutes ago

In America, wouldn't it be great: if we could trust our elected leaders; if we knew our votes counted; if our tax dollars were used wisely for all Americans; if real American idealism would last forever? Or, can this patriotic idealism even survive the current insidious danger from within that Thomas Jefferson warned us about? American leadership is dashing toward different political aspirations, not guided by our Constitution. Using the ruse of protecting the planet, improving people's lives, and preventing wars, this perilous movement grows stronger. What are its signs; what is its attack mode? First, free speech is strangled by charges of racism, insensitivity, or greed. Second, Christianity is being attacked more viciously. Third, real education has been destroyed by the U.S. Department of Education, to develop a cultural student rather than a literate student. Fourth, we have no protective energy policy. Fifth, our southern border remains an open invitation to jihadist sleeper cells. The last sign is when the right to own and bear arms is eliminated. Will our Constitution continue to be ignored? The election in 2016, if we are allowed elections that year, might give that answer. This book is written to give the author's view regarding these events and questions. His view was not calculated and prepared in a single setting of writing a book based on one viewpoint at one time. This is a compilation of blogs and letters to the editor evolving over a period of three years. The writings were extracted from events, announcements, and conclusions as they occurred. The authors' conclusion is that we are living in a time most perilous to the existence of America as we now know it. His writings indicate that the current president, Barack Obama, is the source of this peril to America and the world. God bless America.

Existence & Consciousness: A Theory of Naturalistic Idealism by Richard Lucido 4.5 Stars (28 Reviews)    Price verified 5 hours ago

Existence and Consciousness presents us with a world without space, a world that consists only of information, consciousness, and time. It offers a theory of idealism from an existentialist perspective. Matter, energy, and space are viewed as holding on to no existence outside of their essence (i.e., their defining properties). This is what precludes them from objectively persisting in time. Only consciousness, broken down into its smallest units, is capable of existing beyond its essence. This is what makes it a necessary constituent of reality, for without it the world would be merely an abstraction. Free of new age spiritualism, Existence and Consciousness is a sober and naturalistic attempt at conceptualizing a reality whose primary constituent is consciousness. The book presents its original insights within a broad multidisciplinary backdrop where ideas from contemporary analytical philosophy, existential philosophy, and ancient philosophy are related to empirical findings from psychology, physics, and neuroscience. Its ideas are presented plainly and are intended for a broad educated audience. No prior experience is necessary to engage with this most perplexing and fundamental question: what is the nature of reality? This second edition is updated to include empirical findings that have occurred since the original version was published in 2017.

Trans: a satire by Jen Celador Price verified 2 hours ago

Wally has courageously rejected the species identity arbitrarily assigned to him at birth by his bigoted parents. Now he wants them to pay for his species affirmation surgery, but his cishuman father isn't convinced. Things don't look good for Wally, and his transitional journey appears to be at an end until NAFPA - the National Association of Feelings and Personal Affirmation - gets involved and convinces Wally's parents to support his identity for the sake of his mental health. The good news is that Wally doesn't have to undertake his journey alone. He has a whole group of transspecies friends at his side: there's Kitty the tabby-cat, Rover the rottweiler, and Erica the transsexual kangaroo who aren't about to let any biological facts stand in the way as they shake off the shackles of oppressive species bigotry to forge their own identity. Things really heat up, however, when a teacher questions their true identity - igniting a firestorm of outrage all over social media demanding that the transphobic teacher be fired. While these brave heroes face a lot of resistance from transphobic cisspecies humans, they also encounter unexpected resistance from bigoted hippos (the real ones) who are reluctant to accept a trans-hippo into their herd. Naturally this raises the all-important question on everyone's mind: What exactly is a hippo? Wally eventually actualizes his true species identity, becoming a social media star in the process. But his moment in the sun is soon overshadowed by another trans hero who undertakes a new and innovative transition even more brave and revolutionary than Wally's. What happens next is enough to make even his LGBTQ allies transphobic... Join Wally and his Furry friends as they transition from being human to the species of their choice.
