A science-fantasy adventure! With their spaceship destroyed, the remaining two survivors of a failed colonization mission jettison down to a planet with the hope they can survive. Duncan, a bookish linguist, and Alexis, a beautiful gladiator in the prime of her career, suddenly find themselves drawn into the struggles between two warring kingdoms. Their fortunes improve when Alexis' combat skills are discovered, and she is challenged by the nation's berserker who underestimates his opponent and pays dearly for it. Yet no sooner is she awarded his position, title, and wealth when she is called upon to lead the nation's warriors in the first full scale battle she has ever experienced, against an enemy who take no prisoners. With the very real possibility that Alexis might not survive the battle, Duncan is left alone to fend for himself. Calling himself a Wizard of the Universe, he is brought before the Council of Prelates to explain his obvious heresy. Deftly answering their questions, he throws caution to the wind and challenges the nation's High Priest to a contest of divine favor. The one who calls down thunder and lightning from the sky is the chosen one of God and becomes the nation's High Priest. The loser dies. (This Series, The Misfits of Gambria is a reworking of a former series titled Wolf 359. Unfortunately, too many readers associated it with a well-known TV show and the two are in no manner similar.)

READ FOR FREE ON KINDLE UNLIMITED! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR UNLIMITED READING! At first, I was shocked by both the act and her forwardness, but as her fingers began to massage the swollen mounds of my breasts, I simply allowed my body to become relaxed and willing. Slowly Dahlia began to undress, taking extra care as to not tear or soil my dress. But once I was completely naked, she became far more aggressive with her touching. She sucked at my small, pert breasts, toying with my hard pink nipples and sending shocks of pleasure through me. With her fingers she explored my pubic region, rubbing at my clitoris gently at first and then with more ferocity as my hips began to shift and buck. She final pushed her fingers inside of. I felt as if she would tear me in half, at least until I was overwhelmed with pleasure and my body squirmed with the intensity of my orgasm and I screamed out like a wounded animal. Once I recover from my orgasm, Dalia spread herself for me and pushed my mouth onto her slavering vagina and made me lick until it felt like I was drowning in her juices. His Dream by Whitney Wes 3.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 20 minutes ago

He pushed his way inside and closed the door, while placing his hand on my chest and scratching his nails down along my entire body. "Don't worry, I practice what I preach. I thought what better way than to put it all out there. You only get one chance at a good first impression. I have something special for our first time together. Lance. I think that you will specifically enjoy what I have in mind." He grabbed my cock and I jerked to his abrupt motion. "I guess we should get started. If you would follow me, I have everything prepared." I walked ahead of him and then I felt his hand and the resounding smack against my hot and demanding flesh. "I just had to do that. You have a nice little body and I have to admit that I'm impressed." I don't know what he was impressed with, because what he had could lift me over his arms and hold me hostage in my own home. I envisioned being chained up in the basement and him coming down every so often to stick his cock in whatever hole he desired. It actually made me bob up and down with a bit of my cream now appearing at the tip. He reached for me, but I stopped him. "Save it for the camera big boy." We went down into my weight room and I had the camera perfectly positioned. WARNING - This book contains steamy romance scenes and is suitable for 18+ only. Hacking the Academy: New Approaches to Scholarship and Teaching from Digital Humanities by Daniel J. Cohen 3.7 Stars (44 Reviews)    Price verified 54 minutes ago

On May 21, 2010, Daniel J. Cohen and Tom Scheinfeldt posted the following provocative questions online: "Can an algorithm edit a journal? Can a library exist without books? Can students build and manage their own learning management platforms? Can a conference be held without a program? Can Twitter replace a scholarly society?" As recently as the mid-2000s, questions like these would have been unthinkable. But today serious scholars are asking whether the institutions of the academy as they have existed for decades, even centuries, aren't becoming obsolete. Every aspect of scholarly infrastructure is being questioned, and even more importantly, being hacked. Sympathetic scholars of traditionally disparate disciplines are canceling their association memberships and building their own networks on Facebook and Twitter. Journals are being compiled automatically from self-published blog posts. Newly minted PhDs are forgoing the tenure track for alternative academic careers that blur the lines between research, teaching, and service. Graduate students are looking beyond the categories of the traditional CV and building expansive professional identities and popular followings through social media. Educational technologists are "punking" established technology vendors by rolling out their own open source infrastructure. Here, in Hacking the Academy, Daniel J. Cohen and Tom Scheinfeldt have gathered a sampling of the answers to their initial questions from scores of engaged academics who care deeply about higher education. These are the responses from a wide array of scholars, presenting their thoughts and approaches with a vibrant intensity, as they explore and contribute to ongoing efforts to rebuild scholarly infrastructure for a new millennium.

Confetti and Lemon Blossom (Sicilian Stories) by Stefania Hartley 4.6 Stars (3 Reviews)    Price verified one hour ago

Ten short stories perfect for your coffee break. For Don Pericle, wedding organising is a calling, not just a career. Deep in the Sicilian countryside, between rose gardens and trellised balconies, up marble staircases and across damasked ballrooms, these charming stories unfold: stories of star-crossed love, of comedic misunderstandings and of deep friendships, of love triumphing in the face of adversity. To these brides and grooms-to-be, Don Pericle becomes a guru, a mentor, even a friend, solving problems, untangling knots, rearranging menus and transforming lives. Fishmongers and Ferrari drivers, dressmakers and divorcees, gardeners and grandmothers: within the walls of Villa Lingualarga, all are offered a new chance at understanding each other - and maybe even finding true love. Praise for Confetti and Lemon Blossom: A super read, and we all enjoyed the quirky, insightful style of storytelling -- The People's Friend editorial team What a lovely story - so sweet and funny. Don Pericle is such an interesting character - we all need someone like that in our lives! -- Ewan Smith, author of pocket novels, short stories and poems While there may be ups and downs, mishaps and misplacements in each wedding scenario, the basis of the entire book are love and relationships, which makes this a sweet and heartwarming book. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a relationship story, or collection of relationship stories from a slightly different perspective." -- LoveReading Ambassador

Publishing Blackness: Textual Constructions of Race Since 1850 (Editorial Theory And Literary Criticism) by George Hutchinson 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified one hour ago

From the white editorial authentication of slave narratives, to the cultural hybridity of the Harlem Renaissance, to the overtly independent publications of the Black Arts Movement, to the commercial power of Oprah's Book Club, African American textuality has been uniquely shaped by the contests for cultural power inherent in literary production and distribution. Always haunted by the commodification of blackness, African American literary production interfaces with the processes of publication and distribution in particularly charged ways. An energetic exploration of the struggles and complexities of African American print culture, this collection ranges across the history of African American literature, and the authors have much to contribute on such issues as editorial and archival preservation, canonization, and the "packaging" and repackaging of black-authored texts. Publishing Blackness aims to project African Americanist scholarship into the discourse of textual scholarship, provoking further work in a vital area of literary study.

Mouthwatering Baked Pasta Recipes: Avoid your hungrily lunch and dinner, go through this! by David Kane 1.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 2 hours ago

Pasta, pasta, and pasta! You can never get enough of this fantastic Italian dish. We all can't resist a nice serving of pasta, especially when it's baked and topped with stringy cheese. Each recipe shown and presented in this book is carefully picked and tasted, so you will be set with foolproof pasta cooking any time you crave this delicious dish. Developing the recipes for this cookbook had me thinking of two things - the quality of ingredients used in the recipe and either to cook or not the pasta before placing it in a casserole dish with the rest of the ingredients. I found that a much easier way is to dump everything in a bowl, stir well, and transfer everything to a baking dish. In this case, you need to increase the liquid ingredients like water, chicken, or vegetable stock, or even tomato sauce because the pasta will need more liquid to cook while it bakes. Cooking the pasta in its sauce will develop the best flavor and won't be blended to taste. I love everything related to pasta, so I am sure this book will excite you about pasta and cooking it for the whole family. In this book, you will find recipes from: ? Vegetable-inspired baked pasta ? Cheesy baked pasta recipes ? Tomato-enriched pasta recipes and many other flavors are perfect for baking pasta anytime. The recipes are so easy to put together because everything happens in the oven, and you can do everything while waiting for your lunch to be ready for serving. Pick your favorite pasta recipe and enjoy every bite of it.

The Human Zoo by Kolin Wood 4.1 Stars (148 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

WARNING: DARK CONTENT The culling struck, killing millions. Anarchy ensued. Gangs fought for control of what was left, picking on those not strong enough to defend themselves. Soon the empty streets were painted with their blood. But, as society struggled to stabilise, there were some who could see the foundations of opportunity buried amongst the ashes. The 'General' has a vision. He wants to build an army, one strong enough that it can stake a claim on the apocalypse. From inside the dark and dank walls of the young offenders institution his ideas for a strong, new society are being realised; but at what cost? Like the others, Juliana was snatched during a violent raid on her home. It left her husband dead and her young son hiding in a cupboard. That was nearly ten years ago. If she ever hopes to escape and find her boy, she must first survive the horror and degradation of her forced incarceration. But the years of abuse have taken their toll and things are getting worse. Does she have what it takes to finally escape the clutches of the General and his perverse army of juveniles? Or will the prison see her sent down into the cells below, the ones from where nobody ever returns? Don't be deceived by Christian Benjamin 5.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 2 hours ago

What is deception? Deception is synonymous with dishonesty, trickery, ruse, sham, fraud, con, and cheating. Deception has selfish interest embedded in it. Everyone is vulnerable to deception. To defraud is same as to swindle, cheat, rob, deceive, hoodwink, trick, con, rip off, or pull a fast one. Deception is an age long concern. From generation to generation, people have always been deceived. Deception is a master strategy in the field of warfare and defense. It works with camouflage. That is why even the uniform of soldiers all around the world has a lot to do with camouflage. To detect deception and deceivers, you must judge or look at issues without emotions or sentiments. A man who is telling the truth does not fret or falter. He confidently speaks neither too slowly nor fast. One clear way of identifying deceivers will always be through their words - What they say, and how they say them. Deceivers take time to walk into their victims - Absalom showed a clear example of this - Absalom took his time (Forty years). 1. When people are desperate, they easily get deceived 2. When people begin to associate with other people of questionable character, they easily get deceived: "Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners" 1 Cor. 15:33 It will not be difficult to deceive people in our generation - Why? Read this book to know why. Do you desire to be able to discern, discover, and outsmart deceivers in these end times? It's very possible. Click on the Buy Button to get your copy now!

A Commentary on the Book of Genesis, Chapter Three by James Thomas Lee Jr 2.0 Stars (1 Review)    Price verified 2 hours ago

One cannot study the opening chapters of the book of Genesis without getting into some very weighty issues. There is, of course, the first chapter that talks about Creation. But there are also other issues as well. For example, who wrote the book of Genesis? Not everyone will agree that it was Moses. Plus, when, if he did write it, did he actually write it? As will be seen in that part of this text, the higher critics have argued against Moses for a reason that will be shared at that time. But other critics have also argued against Moses, as being the author of the first five books of the scriptures, by speaking about something that is called the Documentary Hypothesis. Each of those matters will be discussed in naming the author of the book of Genesis and the date of authorship. Then, after settling the Moses-authorship question, the next topic to be addressed will be the Moses-content question. The conclusion from those discussions will be that the opening chapters of the book of Genesis should be interpreted literally. Next after those preliminary issues, the actual study of the third chapter of the book of Genesis will begin. As part of the discussion of verse one, the belief of dualism will be considered. Also the belief that Satan cannot make anyone do the wrong thing will be presented. The three mistakes that Eve had made when talking to the devil will be stated. The extent of her guilt, in eating fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, will be discussed. Was she less guilty than Adam, as guilty as he, or guiltier than he? Then, the exact moment when each of them had actually sinned against the Lord will be presented, along with the sin nature and the possibility that some sins might be worse than others. In that part of the discussion, though, it will be shown that all sin is sin. So no sins are any worse or any better than any others. From there, the discussion will continue with the immediate results that Adam and Eve had felt right ...

CREEP: A Short Psychological Thriller by William Cook (King Billy Publications) 3.8 Stars (85 Reviews)    Price verified 2 hours ago

A dark story of a young woman's date with death! CREEP is a short psychological thriller that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Serial Killers don't always get away with murder, no matter how hard they try. Includes bonus short story - Legacy. From CREEP: "Cassandra pounded on the window and frantically tried to push the rear doors open, first with her shoulders and then with her heels, to no avail. She peered into the dark confines of the garage and saw nothing except her frightened reflection looking back at her in the window, bathed in the dim yellow interior light of the cab. She cupped her neatly manicured hand across her brow and looked out the window again, her button nose touching the smeared glass as she did so. She thought she heard a deep growling noise somewhere nearby outside the cab and then her window was filled with bared teeth and the blackest, evil eyes, she'd ever seen. The huge head of the Rottweiler retreated into the shadows before launching itself back at the vehicle, the razor sharp canines crunching against the window and sending a trail of cracks across the glass. Steaming froth and saliva dripped down the webbed glass as the dog began to bark and thud its massive head against the side of the cab. Cassandra scuttled across the back seat as she wet herself, waves of fear shrinking her into a ball, as the crazed dog leaped at the cab again... " "William Cook tells a gruesome story with a sense of authenticity that makes you question with considerable unease if it really is fiction, after all." - Graham Masterton, author of The Manitou and Descendant "This man is simply scary. There is both a clinical thoroughness and a heartfelt emotional thoroughness to his writing. He manages to shock as well as empathize, to scare as well as acclimatize, yet beneath it all is a well read intelligence that demands to be engaged. I loved Blood Related. Ordinarily I hate serial killer stories, but William Cook won me over. He is a unique and ...

Like the descendants of Abraham, who knew not what lay in the path ahead, but believed in the promise, that it would be fulfilled. Before the summer of 1879, fourteen year old Molly pretends to be carefree, sailing, never taking a breath. After hearing she may have to move away, she's tired of being someone other than the girl in the reflection -- the one who finds love and acceptance. Molly coaxes a lakeside meeting with the son of a nearby sharecropper, shy, good-looking Alex, who still won't look her in the eye. She replaces the dreaded existence they've mapped out for her with her own blueprint. Molly enlists the help of, mill owner, W. Neuman, a stranger to the South, bringing his own brand of fierceness, and his wife's quirky, flamboyant, no-nonsense aunt, visiting from Boston. Eager to support her brother, Serena Olsen has put her life on hold and accompanied him as he drives a stagecoach across the barren deserts of Texas. Although she sometimes has rushing thoughts of what it would be like to fall in love, and have everything her heart desires, hard reality takes every hope she has. However, when their stagecoach is attacked by a group of bandits and Serena is taken hostage, she notices one man among them who might not be like the others... Can she really trust her own captor to be her guardian? After the death of his older brother, Luka Finley becomes a sheriff's deputy and devotes his life to protecting and serving others in the small town of Brenton. When he is asked to get recruited by a notorious gang and collect enough evidence for their arrest, he accepts without hesitation. What he didn't expect though is that on his first mission he will have to kidnap a beautiful and brave young woman, Serena. Will her presence make him devote himself to her safety and endanger his mission? The perilous state they find themselves in, seems to be drawing them together, rather than pushing them apart. How will they admit their growing attraction while surrounded by danger? Will they find the courage to overcome the boundaries forced by others or will they lose their chance at true love? "Lost Souls Escaping Dark Times" is a historical western romance novel of approximately 60,000 words. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

One day, I'm working as a cash guard, shooting the tires off a stolen vehicle, and the next I'm a guard for the only daughter of high-profile mob boss, Marco Ventilli. The twist? I've already met the five-foot-four, one-hundred-and-ten-pound bombshell that is Sera Ventilli. In fact, I've had her every way a man can have a woman, and if her father ever finds out, he'll skin me alive and bury me six feet under the hot sands of Las Vegas. I knew Sera looked like the worst kind of trouble -- my gut told me she was -- but she swore otherwise, and I lapped up every single lie she fed me, like a Goddamn idiot. All I had to do was keep the promise I made to my mother on her deathbed. Leave the Army, find a normal job and a good woman, and get on with my life. Yeah. So much for that?.

The President Did Me From Behind And I Liked It (I Banged Book 1) by Raven Blackbird 3.2 Stars (7 Reviews)    Price verified 3 hours ago

26-year old Jessica Fox has loved and admired President Romeo Stryker ever since he ascended to the presidency 4 years ago. With the charisma of Bill Clinton, the rumored phallus-size of Barack Obama, and the sexual prowess of John Kennedy, President Stryker is God's gift to horny, politically-minded women. His oratory skills would always get Jessica all hot and bothered, and she occasionally masturbates to his speeches about world peace and nuclear disarmament. When Jessica is plucked from obscurity to interview the president two weeks before election night (where he will presumably cruise to an easy landslide re-election victory), she ascends to cloud nine. But never in Jessica's wildest dreams did she ever think she'd get a chance to mount Stryker's 10-inch presidential staff. When the president hints that he'd be open to a sexual encounter in the Lincoln Bedroom (where the ghost of Abe Lincoln has been known to watch its occupants engage in a little hanky-panky), Jessica begins a fiery romance with the most powerful man on Earth. In essence, Jessica bangs the president... and she likes it. This is the first erotica short story in the "I Banged" series, featuring sultry and fiery journalist-turned-sexual-deviant Jessica Fox. One day she's banging the president, the next day she's riding Santa Claus, the day after that she's getting eaten out by Big Foot. Admit it, you're mighty jealous of all the banging Jessica does. (Except, of course, when Jessica has sex with an inter-dimensional demon from Hell. Even she has to admit that's a bit weird.)

No Salt Recipes: Your GO-TO Cookbook of Healthy, Low-Sodium Ideas! by Thomas Kelly 3.4 Stars (12 Reviews)    Price verified 4 hours ago

Has your physician or nutritionist recommended a no salt or low sodium diet for you? It can be one of the best ways to eat healthy, but you'll need recipes that help you identify good options. Your body only needs about 200-300 mg of sodium each day. When you adopt a no salt added diet, using recipes like those in this handy cookbook, you will be healthier, and feel better, too. Lots of people talk about no-salt diets, but they are actually more properly called no salt added diets, since many foods contain sodium naturally. Those foods are cut back in a salt restricted diet, too. A no-salt diet is helpful if you have or are predisposed to conditions like edema (swelling, usually in the legs and feet), kidney failure, heart disease or high blood pressure. Your physician will tailor a no-salt diet to your own needs, and the recipes in this cookbook are helpful for typical no salt diet regimens. When you are on a no salt diet, replace table salt with a salt substitute or with spices and herbs, when you cook. You'll also want to avoid foods that have high amounts of salt added like salty snacks, processed meat and canned soup. Try one of these healthy no-salt added recipes today!
