A Travel Biography spanning three decades and four continentsAlthough born into a sikh family in India, Inder Jit Singh by virtue of growing up as an army brat, schooled and travelled in almost every other region of India except the Punjab, the sikh homeland. Soldiers of the Indian army, including the Assam Rifles were often his companions. The schooling in north east india saw him in the company of classmates who hailed from tribal communities there and all of this coupled with the military history of such places as Kohima and Imphal, ingrained in him a love for travel, adventure, other peoples, grography and discovery and military history. This later led to Singh's professional interest in these subjects, enough to make a career out of them.
